They left right after school to go to Port Angeles, but they stopped at the other two girls homes after Jess followed the Swans to their home. Dropping off their school stuff and stuffing into the old mercury, the four girls made it to the little touristy town by 4pm. They all were chatting the whole ride there, Jessica was grilling Bella and it made River laugh every time Bella got nervous about a question but Angela saved her.

As they drove through the town Jessica went straight to the big department store, staying on their plan because it was a school night. Once they got in there, the discussion was about what semiformal meant but they were on the hunt nonetheless.

"She never went to a dance back in Phoenix, but I went to most of them but none were classed as semiformal. Everyone always dressed to the nines," River told the two girls after Jessica asked about dances in their old school.

"Didn't you ever have a boyfriend Bella?" Jessica asked dubiously while walking through the front doors.

"Really," she tried convincing Jessica, truly not wanting to admit that she was a horrid dancer. "I've never had a boyfriend or anything close. I didn't go out much."

"Why not?" Jessica demanded, so shocked by Bellas words.

"No one asked me," Bella answered honestly.

"But people ask you out here," Jessica reminded the older swan girl, "And you tell them no." This was an after thought of a sentence as they were gazing through the juniors section for formal clothes.

"Well, except for Tyler, he tried telling people he was taking you but River asked him instead," Angela revealed quietly.

"What?" River gasped, so that whole conversation when waiting in the parking lot was just a scape goat because Bella had said no? Why does it always come back to her and everyone being fiends for her approval. Another thing was how come no one told her this was happened. Jessica was the first person to know River even asked the boy, so surely she knew he was being a scheming liar.

Jessica had widened eyes, a scorching glare casted towards Angela. Now she saw why she hadn't said anything, Jessica wanted River to look like a fool. So, River excused herself to the restroom not wanting to be surrounded by the group.  As she walked off Jessica decided to keep digging her grave by telling Bella the details of the gossip. It was like Jessica couldn't see her horrible actions were making Bella fume at her words.

Bella was quick to leave after blowing off Jessicas words, following her twin. When she got close to the restroom she heard angry words in the echoes and as she walked in there were tears being shed.

"- I can't even believe you let me ask you when all you're trying to do is use me?" River practically shouted to the boy on the phone. There were muffled words in response that did not make River anymore happy.

"Tyler I literally could not care less about you just saying it was all jokes, that makes it even worse. I feel like a fool! You're done, we're not going to together. Go kick rocks pal, don't even look at me when we're at school," She stated even more anger filling her words and promptly hung up the phone, she was done with today and that school. And then that's when she noticed Bella's presence in the restroom, her blue eyes wide at being heard.

"I'm not going to ask if you're alright, he's a douche and deserved all those words," Bella told her simply, "Now come here," she beckoned with open arms knowing her sister needed this hug and of course River accepted.

What surprised Bella was there was only trails of tears left, only anger that stayed when they let go of each other.

"I am just going to say I am not mad at you by the way, just Tyler and Jessica," River disclaimed.
