One year prior

---------------------------

Michael reluctantly knocked on Henry's door, he knew the place well, often went there when Charlie-- He shouldn't think of that. The door swung open, and Michael was greeted by none other than Henry, then again, nobody else lived there so who else would have responded?

"Oh, Michael! What are you doing here? Come in, come in!" Henry invited Michael warmly, he stepped inside and took off his trainers... right, sneakers... even though Michael had grown up in America, his Fathers British accent had left him messing up words now and then. It drove his English teacher crazy, but some found it funny, others found it worth bullying Michael about.

Michael was eighteen, in fact his birthday had just been one month prior, July 11th. "What brings you here?" Henry snapped Michael out of his thought process, without a word he gave Henry the note he had found on the fridge that morning. He saw, as Henry read the note, his expression changed, from one of pleasure to uncertainty to concern.

"Oh dear..." Henry said, looking up at Michael. "So, William has disappeared, left a note for you to go work at this location for his separate company I didn't even know he owned, so you can apparently find your sister who went missing one year ago?" Henry looked at Michael, whereas he simply nodded.

Michael knew William never was the best father, always leaving him attentionless and to take care of his younger siblings, but the loss still hurt. What surprised him, however, was when Henry pulled him into a hug and said, "No, you're not going until you've at least finished Highschool and have trained with animatronics alongside me for a bit, understood?" Michael nodded sheepishly. And so, Michael had lived with Henry the remainder of that year, and even when he started working, as he still needed a house while he began saving for his own.

--------------------------

Michael now sat, waiting for Henry to come. The doctors had taken a look at Michael's ankle and determined it was broken but had not told Michael the details. "Weird," Michael murmured to himself as he thought the doctor's words over in his mind.

When he had told them the only adult that he knew that would come to the hospital to have a chat was Henry Emily, the doctor asked Michael a... different question. "Wait- what did you say your last name was again?" Michael winced, "A- Afton..." The doctor gasped in recognition. "I am so sorry about your family! Practically everyone here has heard about the Afton Family Tragedy." Michael winced again. "I don't need your pity." He grumbled.

Finally, Henry arrived. The doctors left to give Henry and Michael some time to talk about what happened without people they barely knew eavesdropping. "Before you asked how this happened, let me just tell you." And so, Michael told Henry the entire story, and how breaking his ankle with a hammer was the only way to live. Henry seemed to be taking notice to the story, noting each interesting bit.

By the time Michael was done, Henry looked about flabbergasted. "They- the animatronics- they really scooped themselves and planned to kill you just to get free from the underground?" He asked, astonished as Michael nodded. After Henry and Michael talked a bit more, eventually he was told to get out so the doctors could speak to Mike.. alone...

Nobody likes it when the doctors asked to speak to the patient alone...
