Henry left the room as the doctor turned to Michael. "Hello, I am Dr. Orlan, but you may call me by my first name, Mary." Michael was unable to read the doctors expression, which worried him as he had a habit of trying to figure out other people's intentions before they spoke to him.

"In order to properly determine how long recovery is going to take, we need to know how the injury happened, and need to do an x-ray." She told him.

"..." Michael said nothing. How would he explain that a giant pile of wires was sentient and had tried to murder him? Especially to someone who knew nothing about what really lied behind the colorful shells of the ever-so popular animatronics from the Fazbear Entertainment and Afton Robotics franchises.

Despite the franchises being popular with kids, it was also popular with adults for the disappearances. One child confirmed dead, the other six, Elizabeth included, were simply missing as none of the kids' bodies was ever found. Some police department we have, Michael thought before the doctor asked him,

"So, how did this injury occur? There's what looks like rope burns around your ankle but that never could've caused an injury such as breaking one's ankle."

Michael shuddered as he remembered how violently the Funtimes had hunted him down, eventually resulting in the marks around his ankle and wrists.

"Well. I'm a technician for Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals," the doctor nodded, seeming to write down what he was saying in a notebook.

"While I was about to head home, one of the animatronics malfunctioned, and attacked me. It grabbed my ankle and I attempted to get it off me by hammering its hand so it would let go."

"Mhm..."

"But I missed and accidentally hit my ankle instead." Understatement of the year, Michael thought as he lied about how he acquired the injury.

"Alright, now that should be enough. Now we just need some x-rays..."

It took a bit, but eventually Michael was done being "examined" as the doctors had called it, what Michael called it was "checking for an injury that was obviously visible and there." The doctors wrapped his ankle in a cast and gave him some crutches for walking, since he still couldn't move his ankle, yet it hurt horribly. "Stay off of it and I would recommend not to go to work for a bit!" One of the doctors called out as he left, "Come back if you need anything else!"

"I'm probably quitting either way." Michael mumbled; he had found out what had happened to his sister, and in order to help her he would have to research how she was still here. Maybe I should go through some of Williams research notes, he thought to himself. He would quit, find a job at a different location, and continue to look for any of William's research for clues as to how he could help Elizabeth. That sounded like a good plan to him... at least it did at the time.

Michael stood, leaning against the wall as Charlie played with Elizabeth, Evan, and Sammy. The trio was nearly inseparable, so when Lizzy and Evan decided to go to Circus Baby's with father, of course Michael was in charge of bringing Sammy and Charlie as well.

"C'mon grouchy! Why don't you play with the little ones too?" Charlie asked from where she leant forward, the three younger kids climbing all over her back. "And end up like you? No thanks." He snickered, while Charlie sent him mischievous glares from where she was positioned.

"Well then..." Charlie said, bending down further to pick up a plastic ball that must've fallen out of the ball pit and rolled over. "Be like that!" She exclaimed before throwing the ball over and hitting him square in the chest.

"Oh, you are so on!" All 5 of the kids in that room raced towards the ball pit, eager to join in a ball-pit fight... except Elizabeth. She saw this as her perfect opportunity. She began to sneak away from the group, slowly making her way to Circus Baby's stage. There were other kids there, they kept coming and going as Elizabeth grew nearer to Circus Baby and her stage.

Lizzy looked around, "Daddy isn't watching..." she said cautiously. "Don't tell Daddy that I'm here, I wanted to watch your show too!" she continued on to the clown animatronic on the stage... "I don't know why he won't let me come see you... You're wonderful!"

"Where did all the other children go...?" Circus Baby stopped singing, and ice-cream appeared from her stomach hatch! Lizzy hesitantly stepped up and grabbed it... then a screech sounded, and everything around her became dark. her waist hurt so much... eventually she gave in to the dark spots in her vision.

Although she never realized, the entire time Evan had watched this event. He watched her sister die, however nobody seemed to believe him... and so the nightmares began... every night... they would terrorize him. Nobody took too much notice to the nightmares Evan received, however William did. He wrote down appearances, habits, other information Evan told him, knowing..

If all went according to his plan... William would need those nightmares later.. a little gift for Michael after Evan's 10th birthday the next year.

One day later...

----------------------------------------------------------------

William looked at the animatronic clown with red hair as Circus Baby entered his vision and the conveyor belt ground to a halt. He had been informed she had been acting weird, and her eyes had changed a light green color... like Elizabeth's. He smirked in interest as he opened the stomach hatch to find Elizabeth's lifeless body inside of the animatronic. "All according to plan..." he whispered as he closed the hatch, speaking into a radio he carried. "Unable to determine cause of strange behavior. Send to scooping room." The conveyor started again, carrying Circus Baby to where any evidence would be destroyed with the satisfying pull of a lever.

The very lever, years later, Elizabeth would pull in an attempt to kill the nightguard she was unaware was his brother... and fail.

They would have to wait until the next unsuspecting victim came down the elevator in order to make their escape... Liz would make Daddy proud someday...

However, finally, Michael knew what had happened to his little sister that day. That one day that started the downfall of everything else bad to happen in his life.
