[victoria's pov]

Hermione and I walked to the library next to each other. We were going to meet up with Harry and Ron to talk more about D.A.

As we were reaching the library, I spotted a familiar ginger head poking out from the crowd, and slowly stopped at the entrance of the library.

"Hey, Hermione?" I said, getting her attention.

Hermione turned around and saw I was still at the doorway.

"Yeah?"

"I'll be back," I said.

"Ok, but be quick. We don't want Umbridge suspecting something," Hermione reminded me.

"Don't worry, it'll be quick," I reassured and followed the ginger head.

The crowded hallway made it hard for me to catch up with Fred. I called his name, but he couldn't hear me. He made a right turn and I followed behind.

"Fred?" I called out.

The hallway was getting empty now, as everyone was heading to dinner. I made the same turn as Fred did and came to an abrupt stop. My heartbeat and breathing also stopped.

"Fred...?"

Standing in front of my very eyes were Fred and Angela... snogging. The worst thing was: he seemed to be enjoying it. He didn't even hear me say his name. No, he was ignoring me. He could hear me completely well.

"Hey, Victoria, Harry wanted to meet up somewhere more... private."

Hermione slowed down when she followed me. Standing behind her were Ron and Harry.

I could barely hear her, as my ears were shutting out noises. I felt like the world was collapsing. My heart was being demolished at the sight in front of me. I could feel my eyes starting to water, but I didn't let them fall.

"Fred, what the heck," I said, almost in a whisper.

Fred broke the kiss and Angela's eyes widened. Some students nearby gasped and backed away from the scene when they realized what was happening.

"Why?" I asked.

He just looked at me, speechless.

"Victoria, wait- I don't know-" Angela started.

"Um..." was all Fred managed to say.

My fist tightened when he wouldn't say anything.

"Was it all just for fun?" I asked. "Did you lie about your feelings?"

"Maybe it was," he said, shrugging.

"Was that story about the closet just a lie? Damn it, Fred. Don't talk to me... ever again."

Fred just stared at me like he didn't know what to do next. "It doesn't matter," he said. "You don't have anything to do with me anymore."

The Golden Trio silently gasped, along with everyone else. Angela didn't know what to say. She was watching the whole thing like a trainwreck.

Before I knew it, my palm met his face. His head shifted from the force of my palm. He looked like he was about to cry. My voice cracked and I held the necklace on my neck. I ripped it off harshly, ignoring the burn on the back of my neck. I shoved it in his chest.

"You two deserve each other. I should've known you would end up in her trap sooner or later." I cried.

I could sense guilt on Angela's face, but I didn't care. Turning my heel, I walked away. Then, slowly paused after a few steps. I spoke without turning around.
