Maxine was sitting on the plane with her necklace and bracelet on, making Venetia vexed
"You won't make any friends by wearing that, my dear"
"That is not something to worry about. I've been lonely for years. I got used to it"
*Sighs*
"Your condition is getting better, but that doesn't mean your heart disease is disappearing. It's just that you'll get out of the hospital soon"
"That's good..."
"Just don't drink alcohol and don't stress yourself out too much.''
"Sure..."
Silence filled the atmosphere for minutes, until Maxine decided to speak up again
"Why did you want to leave Philippines again? Aside from keeping me away from Yamato, what are the other reasons?"
"I found a better job there. And your aunt will be helping us with your hospital fees"
"Will we still come back?"
"I'm not so sure about that"

Maxine's POV
It was a day long trip to get to Washington
My ass hurts like hell
We're currently riding a bus to get to my cousin's house.
It's been years since I last saw her...
I stepped out of the bus with my mom

We both stepped inside the car

Maxine was allowed to stay with Harriet first in her house while searching for a hospital for Maxine.
"How long will I stay here?"
"Only for a day"
"A day? Only for a day? How exasperating"
"You can just visit me on the hospital"

"How's Yamato?"
"I'm sure he's fine..."

After Maxine took her flight, I left the airport to go back to school
I hope she'll have fun there...
The red light was about to turn on and I could hardly cross the street.
