People we're perturbed by the mishap
The unconscious boy was brought to the hospital with the help of the people who descried the incident
Well, as expected,
His father was apathetic
He just took care of the hospital bills and sent him helpers and bodyguards to look after him
Who would not give a tinker's damn despite of what happened?
Only Yamato's friends paid to visit him
And right now,
He's in a critical condition
Maxine's POV
"Max! Are you ready? We have to go now"
Harriet invited me to go to the cafe to introduce me to her friends.
She didn't even bother listening to my response leaving me no choice but to come with her.
As we arrived at our destination,
I saw a bunch of teenagers standing outside the café.
It must be them.
"Bitches! How long have y'all waited?"
Did she really just call them bitches? How bold

"You can call her Maxine or Max. Or whatever it is. She's half Italian and half American"
"Abbruzzese?"
"Ye, why?" Harriet asked
"Does that mean... You know Alessandro? Who is he to you?"

They gasped
"Woah! I can't believe this! I'm such a big fan of your father! I'm Terrance. Nice to meet you"
"I'm Everleigh! You can call me Leigh"
"I'm Aida Mercedes! You can call me Aida!"

"I'm Gwendolyn. You can call me Gwen"
I shook hands with all of them
I didn't know Harriet has a lot of friends. They're all kind and friendly too.
"Hey, you forgot about Kyson"
We all looked at the guy standing far away from us
"Don't mind him. He's always like that." Aida grumbled
They sighed
I felt bad for him so I approached him.
"Bro what is she doing?" Leigh questioned

He took off his AirPods
"Who are you, exactly?"
"Umm I-I'm Harriet's cousin"
"Sure"
He wore his Airpods again

"Bro, are you really going to treat her like that? She's Kaia Maxine Guilia Abbruzzese" Terrance chuckled
"You don't know her, do you?" Gwen questioned

"Abbruzzese you say?"
Maybe the reason why I'm getting more friends is because of my father.
"Yea! Abbruzzese! She's the daughter of the famous race car driver Alessandro!" Leigh added
"Ohh okay"
"Is that all? Aren't you going to greet her or something? You know what... I shouldn't have invited you in the first place." Harriet nagged
"Hey guys calm down" Aida pleaded
"Why did you even invite me to be in your group if you're not going to accept me as who I am?!"
He immediately walked out and left us.
"I just wanted to change him since I find him pathetic." Harriet mumbled
"We know... You've been like that from the very start." Said Gwen
"L-lets go inside the café first, shall we?" I suggested
They all agreed so we went inside to grab a seat
"We tried to help Kyson. Ever since he was little, he doesn't know how to make friends nor communicate with other people. His mother tried to help him but it did not change a thing." Gwen sighed
"Does he have a girlfriend or something?" I questioned
"Well, obviously not. I mean who the hell would like that kind of guy" Harriet huffed
"Let's cut off this shitty topic. Hey Maxine, do you have a boyfriend?"
"I c-can try helping him." I stuttered
They all looked at me and felt displeased
"You don't have to. You'll just waste your damn time. Aren't you busy?" Aida objected
"Well, it doesn't matter whether I fail or not. At least I tried."
"Well, she's right though" Maverick grinned
"Max, don't you have a boyfriend? Won't he feel jealous?" Leigh asked
"Well, she does!" Harriet exclaimed
"Yea, I know I do have one and he would feel jealous but it is not my intention to hit on him. I just want to help him" I said confidently
"What are you going to do if he falls in love with you? Reject him? Won' that make it worse?" Harriet complained
"Aren't you guys his friends? Why are y'all against on helping me to make him a better person?"
"Max, that's not it. It's just you still have to rest. And how are you going to help him? You can't just tell him to go to the hospital for you. I know your mom barely lets you go outside." Harriet explained
"Hospital?" Terrance asked
"Well, umm you see she has coronary atherosclerosis disease" Harriet explained
"What's that?"
"It's a kind of heart disease. I was born with it."
All of them looked unhappy
"B-but I'm completely fine! Don't worry!"
They all sighed happily
"But Maxine, it's been bothering me for a while now. Why do you have those kind of necklace and bracelets...?" Maverick questioned
My eyes widened
"O-oh This?! Umm..."
"It's from his boyfriend. Yamato Uchida" said Harriet
"Is he Japanese?"
"Only h-half." I smiled
"Really? I heard Kyson also has a Japanese blood." said Gwen
"Wait for real?" I asked surprisingly
"Hey now Max, are you interested in him? You sure do love Japanese men" Harriet teased
"That's not it!"
"Hey, let's not change the topic. Why do you have those kind of necklace and bracelets?" Maverick smirked
