Absquatulate to leave without saying goodbye
I woke up with the silk sheet wrapped around me while laying in Mia's arms. The material feels like butter along my skin as I go to move from her hold. I guess we both passed out after that intense session between us and the guards. I finally stood up after having to crawl out of the bed and my knees got weak. I happened to catch myself before tumbling to the ground with the nightstand on the side of the bed. I found my balance and made my way to the restroom with the sheet still around me. I start the shower before peeing and walk back to the mirror to see the damage that was made. Little marks are displaced around my body but I rather these marks than the other ones I was getting from Nash.
I step in the shower and let the steaming hot water flow down every inch of me. I grabbed the soap and began scrubbing my skin clean with a towel when the doorbell rang. "Shit" I forgot the kids were getting dropped off earlier today because Ivano had something to do or something. I grab a towel and wrap myself up to run downstairs only to find Mia already there "I got it Mia" I don't know how she got dressed so fast, but she walks off in her baggy clothes to the window still standing guard.
"Am I late to the party?" Ivano smiles and looks over my figure while I reach out for the kids with my one free hang.
"Did you guys have fun with Ivano?" The twins hugged my legs and ran off into the house while babygirl said goodbye to her dad. They've been getting closer surprisingly but I'm not here to get in between them even if I do know how evil he is.
"I'll see you later babydoll. We'll be a family soon enough I promise you that." He says while looking up at me as she runs into the house to join her brothers. His eyes are telling another story as he steps closer to the door before reaching out to touch my arm.
"You have said your goodbyes" I move my arm, but he grabs a hold of it and looks into my eyes.
"How can I leave with saying bye to my favorite troublemaker"
I pushed him back away from the door and tightened my hold on my towel. "Don't go getting any sick ideas Ivano you know I'll end you" before walking back to his car he mouths Please Do.
I close the door just as Mia starts charging my way pulling out a gun from behind her. "I can end him right now Ann" I place my hand on her chest and shake my head because it's not even worth it. "I told you that man wants something, and it's clear that he wants you Ann. I don't know what his goal is, but I don't like it, and I would take this as a treat."
"You honestly think he's going to do something" Mia looks at me and pity and I've been so dumb. I've been running my entire life, and I just thought this time could be different or is Mia just overreacting? I feel comfortable here and the kids love the idea of Ivano, and I can't take another parent away from them. They just got use to him am I going to have to take a little flirting just so the kids can be happy? " Call Milo and if he thinks Ivano has a plan, we can make a plan to leave but until then I don't think he would do anything crazy right now."
Mia puts her gun away " You always try and find the good in people even though they hurt you and I love that about you. Sometimes I think that will get you hurt one day, Ann, but I'll call for you and settle the kids while you finish up in the shower.

It has been two days since Ivano came to the house making treats and Milo said he was going to investigate it according to Mia, but he has gotten no current info. At this point Mia is stressing herself about leaving the city just to buy us sometime but I'm hoping she gives this up. I'm tired of running, and the kids seem happy. I was thinking about letting them explore new things outside of this house. I want them to go to school and make friends with the neighbors so they can have sleepovers and little parties. They deserve to have a better life than mine and I'm working to give them one slowly but surely.
Me and Mia were talking about dinner while I parted the kitchen to bring the kids some snacks when my phone rang from upstairs. I tell Mia to go answer it while I go check on the kids outside on the playset. I make my way out the back door when I notice the swing is still swinging but not one child is on it. I sit the snacks down on the table outside to look around before I start panicking knowing they love to play hide and seek.
"Evander? Hector? Asteria? Where are you?"
"You have to come with us mommy." Asteria says I a low voice
"What type of game are you guys playing this time?" I ask as I turn around to find one of Ivano's men holding a blade to her neck. "I swear if you hurt her-"
"Follow us quietly and we won't hurt you or the kids" The man says with a grin
I follow the man that is holding Asteria hostage trying to not look back at the house knowing it's going to prove that once again I was wrong.
