Kaliyah lives with her two parents in Birmingham, United Kingdom. She works part time at a bar in town, and spends the rest of her time creating videos on youtube and trying to pursue her dreams of becoming an influencer.
She still lives with her parents but it's one of her biggest goals to move out at some point in the future and have her own place.
She didn't have many friends, since she left secondary school a few years ago she just drifted apart from everybody and never really found new people. She didn't mind though, being alone was something she had learnt to appreciate over time.
Although, she had her bestfriend from childhood, someone who had always been there for her. They had grown up together, and spent a lot of time with eachother over the years. Their parents were bestfriends which meant they'd see each other pretty often, even if he was a little further away now. He lived out in Germany and had done for a year or so. This was up until a few months ago when his career changed and he moved from Dortmund, to Madrid.
His family would treat her like she was their own, and her parents did the same for him and his brother. Her mother, Laura, and their mother, Denise had been bestfriends since college when they were younger. They say they've been inseparable since the day they met. The two families didn't see each other as much anymore, but still made their biggest efforts to do it as much as possible.
Kaliyah hoped one day everything could go back to the way it was a few years ago, when the families were just like one big one. She felt like she had siblings, and even a second set of parents.
The real question is, will things change. For better, or for worse?
