chapter three ❤︎︎
- kaliyah's pov -Mom, Dad and I all sat waiting at our gate for the Bellinghams. The plane was going to be leaving in about 15 minutes. I was a little nervous to see Jobe, i haven't seen him in a while.
I scrolled through instagram whilst waiting for them to arrive.
'You feeling okay?' Dad leant into my ear and whispered.
I nodded with a smile. He held out a small bag of crispy m&m's.
'For you.' He said, gesturing for me to take them. I looked at him and smiled.
'Thanks.' I said. warmly.
'There you are! We've been waiting here forever!' Mum said, jumping up and pulling her best-friend into a hug. Here we go.
Dad and I both stood up at the same time and he shook hands with Mark, their little boring signature greeting for each other.
And there was Jobe.
He looked a lot different from when i saw him last, he was a lot taller now. Possibly even taller than Jude. He didn't have a baby face anymore either, he just looked way more grown up. He'd clearly gotten lucky with the glow up.
'Kaliyah.' He said. His voice was deeper too, everything about him was completely different. He already reminds me of Jude.
'Jobe.' I smiled, i could tell he was probably thinking the same thing. The last time he saw me i looked completely different too.
He dapped me up, just like he did sometimes when we were little. 'You look a lot different.' I said, unsure of really what to say.
'Really? Good way or bad way?' He laughed, scratching the back of his neck. I could tell he was still a little awkward, just like before.
'Good way obviously. You look more grown up, and a little bit like Jude.' I replied.
He smirked and nodded, but didn't say anything.
'Should we get to our seats then?' Denise said excitedly. I think her and mom were the most excited out the lot of us.
'Don't wanna miss the plane!' Mom said, taking her hand and beginning to walk down the tunnel, practically skipping with joy.
Mark and Dad walked closely behind them side by side, which just left Jobe and I to follow on after them.
'You excited?' He said, breaking the awkward silence.
'Yeah obviously, i'm sick of the weather here.' I said, looking out the windows of the tunnel and of course it was raining.
'I know what you mean. I've been to Mallorca with my mates, it's great there.' He told me.
'Oh really? Lads holiday?' I laughed, mocking him slightly.
He gave me a frown but i could tell he was fighting off a smile.
We had all managed to find our seats on the plane, i was sat between my mom and Jobe. Jobe near the window, me beside him, and mom the other side with Denise next to her the opposite end. Dad and Mark sat behind us.
