- kaliyah's pov -

Audrey and i were on the way home from having dinner out together just the two of us. We hadn't seen each other in a while since she'd been visiting family. We had caught up loads.

'Can i stay over at yours tonight?'

'Yeah. My parents won't care as long as we're quiet.' Audrey said.

'Brilliant. I'll get a taxi back in the morning or something.'

'Sounds good.'

We eventually arrived back at Audrey's place and she introduced me to her mum, who was the only one home. Her dad worked late apparently, and i would meet him another day.

'This is my room. You better not move around loads in your sleep.'

'Don't think i do.' I shrugged, putting my purse on the hook on the back of her door. 'I'm just going to the toilet.' I told her, chucking my phone on her bed.

'Okay.'

I went into her bathroom and used the toilet, washed my hands and came back out.

'Looks like somebody wants to talk.' Audrey smirked, passing me my phone.

Jobe had called me.

'I still don't get why you're not together yet.' She huffed. I rolled my eyes and laughed.

'What about you and Jude then?' I asked.

'See that's different.' She giggled.

'Not really.' I said. 'He's definitely into you. I bet if you called him right now and asked him to go out or come round, he would.'

'Well it would be quite hard considering he isn't
in the country.' She said

'Okay but you get my point. He'd come see you if he had the opportunity.' I explained.

'Jobe would for you too.' She smiled, heading to the bathroom to get into comfier clothes.

'I should probably call him back.' I said, opening my phone up.

'You do that whilst i get ready for bed.'

I went onto my call history and pressed on his name.

'Kaliyah?'

'Hey.' I smiled when i heard his voice. This is getting bad. 'Sorry i missed your call.'

'It's okay, don't worry. Did you have a good time out with Audrey?' He asked.

'I did, yeah. What've you been doing?'

'Nothing much. Just cooked dinner for mum, now watching a film' He explained.

'What film are you watching?' I asked.

'The Notebook.'

'Noah and Allie?' I giggled. 'I love that film.'

'Noah and Allie, yes.' He laughed too. 'Are you busy in the next few days?'

'I don't think so, why'd you ask?'

'There's a new restaurant in town. I wanna take you to it.' He said.

'I'd love that.' I smiled to myself.

'Yeah? How about tomorrow night then?' He asked.

'Sure. What do i wear?'

'Whatever you want. Make it as casual or formal as you want, i'll match you.' He said. 'I'll pick you up at 5:30pm?'

'Perfect. I'll see you tomorrow then?'

'Yes. See you then my love.'

𝐀/𝐍: 𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐬. i'm so sorry for almost an entire month with no update, this summer has been pure chaos and super busy. this is only a short chunk but better than nothing i thought. i am working on new chapters and hopefully will have them out as soon as possible. again i'm so sorry for not updating, thank you for all the support ❤︎︎
