ONE MONTH [JOONGDUNK]

Chapter 3.

Author's POV

Dunk was laying in his bed thinking of all the events that happened today.

He was mostly confused because of Joong's behaviour. He really couldn't guess what went wrong.

But whatever the reason is, Dunk decided that he would put efforts to get on Joong's good side as having Jia as his enemy was enough of a nightmare, he didn't want Joong to be the same.

He decided that tomorrow he will do his best to make things right.

*Next day*

Dunk stepped into the sets of the series with a determined heart.

He slowly made way towards the staff present there.

"Good morning phi" he greeted them by joining his hands.

They all returned his greetings back.

"Can I ask you something?" Dunk questioned

The other person just nodded in affirmation.

"Which coffee does Joong like the most?"

He was now looking at the staff with curious eyes.

"I think an iced coffee would be alright. He often orders that."

"Thank you so much phi"
After saying that Dunk ran to the shop to get come iced coffee for Joong.

I hope he would like it.

He went back and carefully placed the coffee on Joong's table. He also attached a sticky note writing Joong's name on it so no one else takes it.

After a few minutes, Joong arrived to do hair and makeup. He sat on his table.

His eyes immediately fell on the iced coffee. He saw his name was written on it. He wondered who placed it there.

It was a really hot day so he was thankful for it.

He went ahead and took a sip. A smile formed on his face.

Dunk who was watching and observing all this was also delighted.

"Who got me this? I want to say thank you." He asked the staff next to him.

"It's the newbie." He said while pointing at Dunk.

Dunk immediately felt shy as both of them were staring at him.

Joong's smile was now replaced with a frown.

He got up from his seat and went towards Dunk.

Dunk thought he was coming to say thank you so he was preparing on what to reply.

Hahaha it's all right Mr. joong. I am glad you liked it.

Or should I say a simple your welcome?

But the words that came out of Joong's mouth surprised him.

"Thank you for ruining the taste of my mouth. Who told you to order this for me? Don't you think you should ask for my preferences before ordering something for me? What if I don't like it? What if I am allergic to something in it? Don't you think that you should ask me first?"

Dunk was shocked and couldn't utter anything for a few seconds.

Aah I am such an idiot.

He is right. I should have asked him first.

"I....I am sorry Mr. Joong. I will keep it in mind. Can I get you something else?"

"Get me a cold brew"
Joong replied coldly.

Dunk once again went ahead and ran to the shop. He ordered a cold brew for Joong.

He came back and placed the coffee on Joong's table.

Joong didn't even look at Dunk and continued what he was doing.

The whole day went by in a similar manner.

Joong was ignoring him most of the times.

Everytime he tried to talk to Joong or ask him anything, he was told to ask about it to someone else.

Dunk was sitting in the chair, just when he heard someone chuckling.

"Hahaha, now you know what you get for messing with me newbie." He heard someone say.

He didn't even need to turn around to know who it was. Such annoying voice could only belong to Jia.

He decided to not argue back and make the situation worse. So he turned towards her and gave her a smile.

This pissed off Jia even more.

Why is he smiling?

Is this much trouble not enough.

Fine. Then I'll show him what I can do.

With that Jia left the room.

The day was almost coming to an end.

All of Dunk's efforts went into vain today but he still wasn't giving up.

He was determined to try again tomorrow.

The weather in the morning was so hot but right now it was a cloudy weather.

It looked like it could start raining any time. Luckily Dunk checked the weather forecast so he brought a umbrella with him.

As he was leaving he saw Joong standing at the entrance of building.

Meanwhile Joong was also getting worried about the rain.

This rain. Why it had to start right now when I have an urgent meeting with a brand.

I can't afford to get wet by rain either.
But my car is parked in the parking area and I have to go there.

Joong took out his phone to call someone.

*On call*

Joong: Hi Phi... Are you still here? Can you please get me an umbrella I have an urgent meeting so I have to leave right now.

Other person: I have left already.

Joong: Oh so you are not here.

Other person: Don't worry I'll ask someone else to get you one.

Joong: okay.

*End of call*

Joong was not aware that someone else was also listening to the conversation.

Dunk who was standing a little behind of Joong heard the whole conversation.

Without thinking twice Dunk went forward and placed the umbrella in Joong's hand.

It was so sudden that it surprised Joong too.

But the reason Dunk was so quick was because he thought if Joong knew it was from him then he would not accept it.

He immediately ran into the rain after handing Joong the umbrella.

Joong couldn't help but laugh at this silly yet kind gesture.

Even though Dunk thought he was quick with it. Joong immediately recognised him the second he placed the umbrella in his hands.

Joong also wasn't sure how he knew it.

Even though Joong didn't like the guy, he was a little thankful for today.

Joong then went ahead to the parking area to get his car.

On the other hand by the time Dunk reached his house, he was completely drenched in the rain.  But he was smiling. He was happy that he could help Joong in some way today.
