"who are you?" you spoke sternly as you looked over the person, she was slightly shorter than you, with a blindfold thrown over her eyes
"i should be asking you that" her voice was deep as she kicked you off of her, she was experienced, you could tell just from how easy it was for her to throw you off "I've been looking for you"
"looking for me?" you looked down at her, grip tight around your sword "you have me now, what do you want?"
"I'm not here to fight" she said, moving her hand to unravel the cloth around her eyes "i want to know, what are you? how can you calm the marastruck?" she seemed to avoid staring directly into your eyes
you were a special type of long life species, just one look at your eyes and almost anyone could be cured of a illness, specifically... people under mara, you can't fully cure them, but you can suppress it
"why do you want to know? are you going to stop me, miss?"
she shakes her head "you can call me jingliu, now answer me, is it because you're a new dragon species? i knew a vidyadhara once, he couldn't do what you can"

you looked away from her and she felt a tingle of disappointment at the loss "your eyes are... beautiful" your patients had never looked at you the way she did, they were always grateful, but jingliu seemed different...
"...come with me then" you said, giving her no time to think as you walked away, she hurried to keep up with you, feeling uncharacteristically of herself
she listens as you explained your family history, despite the blessing of helping others, your family had a long line of a curse, brought on generations ago

"have you ever tried to get rid of it?" you shook your head firmly "i would rather help people, even if i suffer because of it"
you came to a stop in front of a worn down house, opening the door and letting her in, she held herself with class as she looked around "you don't mind suffering to take care of people?"
"i want to take care of people, there are people i love that i need here with me, i won't let them die just because im in pain"
"people that you love?" she moved to stand in front of you "even though you can't even take care of your own relatives, you'll still do it for others...i can't say many would be so noble as you are"
you looked down at her, your eyes staring into each other's, watching the way her face immediately softens with the contact, you don't understand why, but your heartbeat gradually grows faster as you both look into the others eyes
her red fiery orbs were beautiful, your hand subconsciously moved to rest on her cheek, and she didn't flinch, she stood there with her eyes on you, moving closer
you stopped yourself before you went too far "I'm sorry, i don't know what's gotten into me-" you tried to remove yourself but she held onto your hand with a firm grip
"i don't mind" her voice was quiet as she let herself move closer, the warmth of your bodies touching, your breath hitched as you looked down at her, holding her face in your hands as you leaned down
she leaned closer, giving you permission with a nod as your lips touched, she was cold but that didn't stop your body from heating up, her arms wrapped around your neck as she pulled you closer
you hands moved down to her waist, trying to get her impossibly closer to your body, your breaths mixing together in the dark of the night, moving away to breath for a second, staring into her eyes with affection, before taking her lips again
her hand held onto your arm, with her back arched as you kissed passionately, your body warming her in ways she never thought possible, she parted again to catch her breath
jingliu was special, and she thought you were too, no one else had ever made her feel this way, and she wasn't about to let you go
