Unexpected

Chapter Twenty-Seven

"So you're American, how'd you end up in Australia." I asked mckenzie as we sat down in a booth.
"When my dad went to jail I moved out here to my cousins house. How'd you get here?" She asked.
"Well you know my boyfriend and 3 friends? They are in a band and I met them in New York at the airport actually heading here for a trip, I've always wanted to come to Australia." I said not telling her what band they were in. I didn't want her to turn out to be a fan and talk about them all night.
"Cool. So you learned how to drive on the opposite? You drive really well."
"Thanks and yeah I've been out here at least 5 times and each time we stay for about two weeks so I just adapted to it."
We ordered our food and talked for an hour and laughed. I hope we stay in touch I could use a girl best friend.
"So I know this sounds crazy but we are definitely best friends now right?" She laughed.
"Yes! You wanna come back to the beach house? The boys would love to meet you and we could watch a movie or something?" I asked her.
"Sure. I don't have anywhere else to be."
We paid and walked back out to the car. We got back to the house and got out of the car laughing at my awful parking skills.
"It's a wonder how I got a license in two countries." I said opening the front door. We walked out to the back deck where we heard the boys laughing.
"Avery! You're back!" Ashton screamed getting out of the pool and hugging me.
"Ash you're all wet!" I said pushing him off.
"And you brought a friend hole?" Calum said smiling at mckenzie.
"Yeah this is mckenzie. Mckenzie this is-"
"Calum Hood from 5sos and that's Ashton, Luke, and Michael." She finished. She blushed as Calum kept staring at her.
"Well good at least you won't accidentally mess their names up making it awkward?" I said.
"Y-yeah... I listen to your music... Sometimes." She said walking with me over to the tables. We sat down and I noticed Michael looked scared to approach me. I got up and walked over to him leaving Luke, Calum and Ashton to flirt with Mckenzie.
"You gonna give me a hug or what?" I said standing there with my arms open.
"I'm all wet?" He said pointing to himself.
"I don't care." I said pulling him to me. "I'm sorry for storming off. I didn't wanna accidentally yell at you and you think I'm mad at you. It's not your fault." I said pulling back and looking at him. He kissed me and I smiled into the kiss. How could I ever be mad at him? He's so adorable!
We held hands and walked over to the group.
"So Mckenzie wanna go swimming?" Calum asked.
"You just wanna see her half naked" Michael said.
Calum shrugged.
"Calum!" I said punching his arm.
"I don't have a suit sorry Cal." She shrugged leaning back in her chair.
"You could borrow one of mine?" I said.
We walked into the house and to Michael and i's room. We walked in and I closed the door.
"So Calum huh?" I said laughing as she blushed.
"Yeah! I'm a fan, not a crazy one! He is my favorite!" She said squealing.
I threw the red suit at her winking.
"He'll drool when he sees you in that."
She widened her eyes and smiled throwing her clothes off and putting on the suit. It fit her better than it fit me! I put on my black bikini.
We walked back out and to the pool. The boys weren't in the pool anymore and we looked at each other confused.
"Where'd they-" I started but was interrupting by them screaming and running at us.
Mckenzie and I screamed and ran the opposite way towards the beach. They had gotten nerf guns and started spraying our backs. We screamed louder and grabbed each other's hands for dear life.
"Stop! Please!" I screamed to the boys.
"Never!" Michael screamed squirting me in the eye. "Oh shit I'm sorry I didn't mean to!" He said running towards me. I played along and acted hurt.
"Damn Michael that hurt!" I whined. The boys stopped and came towards me. Mckenzie realized I was playing and she stood behind the boys. I looked up at her and nodded slightly. She grabbed the nerf guns out of Ashton and Calum's hands and started spraying them as I grabbed Michael's and Luke's. They all let out a girly scream and started running.
"Die birches!" We screamed as we ran after them. They fell in the sand and in a pile and we surrounded them spraying them until the guns ran out of water. When they did mckenzie and I looked at each other terrified. The boys grabbed our legs and pulled us down. We all lied there in a pile laughing. Michael got on top of me and held me down tickling me. Calum pinned mckenzie down and tickled her. Luke and Ashton sat in the middle of us and played patty cake.
"Ashton! Luke! Help me damn it!" I screamed.
"Sorry can't hear you playing patty cake!" Luke said.
"Eeeek! Stop stop! Help! Avery!!" Kay screamed.
I leaned my head up and kissed Michael distracting him so I could gain advantage and get away. I rolled away and got up tackling Calum over.
"Ouch! Avery!" He screamed struggling to stand up.
We all got up and walked back to the pool. We jumped into the pool and played that game that one person gets on the others shoulders and fights with the someone else on someone's shoulders.
I was in Michael's shoulders fighting with Luke who was on Ashton's shoulders. Calum and Kay were off to the side flirting with each other.

After we all calmed down we sat on the edge of the pool. I was sitting on the edge, Michael standing between me. I had my hands on his shoulders and my head resting on one of his shoulders. He rubbed my legs as I played with his hair.
Calum and kay were sitting next to each other and Luke was in his pool ring. Ashton was sitting between me and calum.
"Avery you need to bring home 3 hot friends next time." Ashton said.
"Okay ill remember that next time." I laughed.

Later Luke and Ashton got tired and went to bed and Michael and I started to get tired too.
"Hey Kay you good here for now? Michael and I are gonna go to bed. Calum can show you a place to sleep when your ready. Right Calum?" I said nodding towards him.
"Yep." He said nodding.
"Okay goodnight." Kay said.
"Goodnight guys" I said grabbing Michael's hand and walking into the house.
