Grace's POV
"Good Morning!" I jumped beside Katie as she stood in the kitchen of the squad house.
"Mornin freshie."
"First day of school. I am so excited to start my courses. I have the Laws of Magic today which is cool, but I don't exactly have magic since all I do is multiple myself and that's more of a mutant trait rather a magic one-."
"Grace! Too early." Katie cut me off and shook her head with a smile.
"Oh sorry." I was just so excited for the day ahead.
"Good morning Viv."
"How many days until she loses the energy?" Viv completely disregarded me and turned to Katie.
"I'm not allowed to be this excited?"
"No." Katie and Viv said in sync before leaving me alone.
"You are allowed to be excited Grace, but keep the energy down around Viv. She's a very lowkey person. That much energy is new to her." Ellie Carpenter walked in with our team lead Danielle.
"Thanks."
"I like your ambition." Danielle gave me a small hug which brightened my day.
"Thank you-what should I call you?"
"Dani is fine."
"Okay, thanks for choosing me to be on your team Dani." I smiled wide finishing up grabbing my breakfast before skipping out of the house.
"Look at you sunshine."
"Alessia!"
"Hey Gracie." Alessia opened her arms up allowing me to crash into them.
"I start my first class today!"
"Congrats, I know you're really excited. We can have dinner and we can talk about it tonight." Alessia told me with a soft smile.
"You're the best thank you."
"Anything for you smiley."
"I'll see you later bye." I pulled her in for one last hug and then skipped away to start my first course. I was so ecstatic to be here.
"Dopamine."
"What?"
"You're like a fucking jumping ball of Dopamine. I wasn't aware it was possible to be this happy all the time. Is that part of your super power?" Lena Oberdorf and Jule Brand both approached me as we entered our first class.
"I wish, but its not."
"Your powers rather cool." Lena told me taking a seat.
"Thanks, I've heard your like super diverse with your powers. What's your favorite animal to turn into or better yet what's the best one to turn into abilities wise. I bet it must be fun to choose. Are there ever any after effects? How is it-?"
"One question at a time Clinton." Lena cut me off as she held her signature smirk.
"Sorry, can't always control my excitement."
"I've gathered that."
"Be nice." Jule nudged Lena's arm as she rolled her eyes.
"I'm gonna go take my seat." I excused myself after I realized I just made a fool of myself. I'm just a friendly person. That's not my fault.
I think one of the best uses of my powers is that I can multiply myself so I can give everyone a hug at once. Or atleast almost everyone.
I snapped out of my little day dream when I realized the teacher had walked in. Only then did I realize that I was the only one sitting alone.
