Taehyung stood in front of Jungkook’s desk, holding his tablet against his stomach with an arm. He inspected the exhaustion that shimmered in Jungkook’s eyes, surrounded by fleshy pouches, with an ever-increasing reproach.“What?” Jungkook muttered, although he knew what was about to happen. He could interpret that look on his baby’s face so easily now.
Taehyung’s view narrowed a notch more. “How many times have I told you to stop chatting with customers when you’ve finished work?”
“They don’t stop talking. It’s not my fault.”
“You’re the boss, baby. You can do whatever you want. Stop trying to please everyone.”
“You’re the one to talk. You never put down that damn tablet. I shouldn’t have let you become a supervisor.”
Taehyung’s new post, which he requested to have only a week after he confessed his feelings, was demanding, but he loved it. Organizing things and events, helping the hosts and hostesses, being a part of Jungkook’s business. He loved every minute of it.
The said hosts and hostesses didn’t receive Taehyung’s new job well at first, but he assisted them and catered to everything they needed. Being the bubbly angel he was, he won them over slowly, and now after a month, Taehyung had become their go-to person when they needed someone to talk. Even Soojin had apologized for what she had done, and they agreed to leave everything behind.
A muted huff oozed out of Taehyung. “I don’t lose my sleep because of it. But you lose your sleep because of the customers.” He perceived how Jungkook’s mouth sank at the corners as he refrained from looking at him, and he pattered around the desk, leaving his tablet on it.
Taehyung perched onto his lap and slithered his arm around his shoulders. He drew a fond kiss on his temple. “Kookie. You need to rest sometimes, too.”
Jungkook circled his waist with his arms, venturing to lay his eyes on him. “I rest just fine.”
“Yeah, tell that to your face,” Taehyung sneered quietly, then sighed. “You will take a day off today and don’t oppose me.”
“Why?”
“Because I said so.”
“Yah.”
A mask of affront exploded onto Taehyung’s traits as he slapped his shoulder. “Don’t yah me. I’m the supervisor.”
“Of the hosts, not mine.”
“And your boyfriend, and as your boyfriend and supervisor, I give you a day off. You can go home or be a client yourself. I won’t let anyone bother you.”
Jungkook’s stubbornness caved by the engulfing warmth that sprawled through his insides. He loved how much Taehyung cared about him, how happy he made him, how he coddled him. He loved everything about him.
Jungkook peppered sugary, chaste kisses on his neck. “Thank you, Tae. You’re the best.”
A soft smile pulled on Taehyung’s lips as a blanket of content cloaked him at his praise. He leaned with the intention of capturing his mouth, but two knocks on the door paralyzed him.
Jungkook reluctantly drew back and said, “Come in.”
Yoongi slid the door open and stood there, holding it, upon encountering the two in that position. “I guess I’m interrupting.”
“Yes.” Taehyung received a light smack on his ass by Jungkook at his murmur. He expelled a choked giggle as he dismounted him and instead stood beside him.
