I smiled as Roosevelt informed me that he had served Tiki the court notice I had proposed for her legal rights to Abel to be dismissed. I had tried to convince Jax to let me adopt Abel when I moved in, and we had got engaged, but he kept saying it wasn't the right time. I hadn't discussed it with him and I had forged his and Gemma's signatures on the application to the courts, but I knew they would both appreciate my intentions as I was thinking about Abel and his future being associated with a mother like Tiki would cause him more harm than good.

As I put the phone down on the sheriff, Margaret walked into my office with the test results I had requested.

"I am not sure about this Tara, isn't this going too far?"

"I told you, Jax never went to deal with Tiki, He needs a big push. This is the only way. He didn't even want me at Abel's game, he sent me home, I don't know what gotten into him."

"I don't know Tara. If Jax finds out, this won't end well."

"The only way he will find out is if you tell him! And you're in too deep for that. We just keep going, I will deal with Jax."

"I hope you know what you're doing because we will both end up dead if this blows up our faces."

"Margret just go." I watched her scurry out of my office door and I quickly prepared the needle, taking blood from my arm I filled the vile up with the sticky red liquid, I shook the tube a little before I stored it with the others I had taken prior. Another two tubes would be enough to be convincing.

I had just shut my drawer when Jax came walking into my office and stared at me with a look that I wasn't sure how to take, he looked pissed off.

"Hey Baby, is everything alright?"

"No." He said as he paced back and forth. I felt the prickle of alarm at the back of my neck.

"I think we need to talk." I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Sure Baby, What's the matter?"

"Have you been telling me the truth about Tiki threatening you because something isn't right? She hasn't bothered coming to Charming or tried to contact Abel, Bobby, or Koa as far as we know, it doesn't make sense that she would come after you."

I scoffed. "Jax, who knows what state of mind she is in, she has been locked up for 10 years. You don't know what kind of person she is now. You said it yourself, she must have had a breakdown when she shot John because of the lie someone told her about us sleeping together back then. Maybe she hates me because of that and that's why she's coming after me, because she blames me for what happened."

Jax seemed to take my explanation as his eyes glassed over in thought, but then he shook his head and I felt my nerves start to fray.

"No, you said she called you at 9:00 during your appointment and that wasn't true, I know she didn't call you at 9:00 Tara because Happy and I were watching her."

"You were with Tiki!" I barked.

"yeah, I went there to - you know what, never mind that! She didn't call you."

I looked at him blankly as my mind tripped over itself to find something to say. I picked up the phone as Jax looked at me with his jaw clenched. After a few rings, Margret picked up.
