I climbed out of bed not long after Jax left to go to the clubhouse, he tried to insist on staying home with me, but after lying in bed most of the day and night my back had started to ache and I needed him gone for the day so I could get up and move around freely. My plan looked like it was a success, well apart from Abel's little stunt. I had hoped slapping him and showing him who was boss would shut the little shit up, I hadn't expected him to run to Tiki and tell her everything. Although her showing up at my office angry had turned out perfectly. The original plan was to frame Gemma for the fake miscarriage, that way Jax would feel betrayed by his mother and it would be easier to convince him to leave Charming and start a new life away from the club. When Jax got back last night he never mentioned talking to Abel, he just said he would be staying at Gemma's for a few days to give me some space, I took that as a good sign that he believed that Abel was going to tell him lies about me and I didn't want to push it further.  I was standing in the kitchen with a coffee when a knock sounded at the door. I opened it to see Unser standing there.

"Morning,"

"Uh, Morning," I replied I didn't need him anymore, so I had no idea what he was doing at my home.

"Can you give me a minute?" he asked.

"Yeah, of course. Come on inside."

"Can I get you anything?" I asked as I picked up my coffee and sat at the dining room table.

"No, I'm good." Unser looked around the room. "Where's Abel?"

"Jax thought it was best he stayed at Gemma's for a few days. I'm just, um, lying low."

"Complicated time for all of you, huh?" I looked over my shoulder at him, I knew the guilt he had carried over not getting to Jax and Tiki's house quick enough on the night John was killed. I had used that guilt to convince the old man to help me with Tiki, it turned out Wayne Unser liked to rescue the damsel in distress like any other man.

"Just say it, Wayne."

"I've been replying how it all went down yesterday. Chewing at me all night. I got you that retraining order request... before everything happened."

I had to think quickly, I had underestimated the old Chief. "Yes."

"Coincidence? or part of the plan you couldn't share with me."

"I needed to have protection in place. We both know she's dangerous."

"So this attack of Tiki's causing the miscarriage, that was all part of it?"

"Do you really wanna know," I asked in a bored tone.

"I can't image you doing anything that might actually harm your own baby.

"Well, I wouldn't." I looked down into my coffee cup for effect, making myself look scared and desperate was my only play now that Unser had figured out what I had done.
