"Come on baby, let's go home," Tiki strolled across the field toward the parking lot where Jax's truck awaited, She turned to her young son. It had been a long day at Funtown, and she couldn't shake her frustration over Jax's absence. Yet, Abel had thoroughly enjoyed himself, racing around with Ellie and Kenny until his cheeks flushed and experiencing every ride suitable for his height. Tiki sensed her little boy was ready to call it a day, while her face throbbed from the forced smile she had worn for Gemma and the club, trying to uphold the image of the perfect old lady.

"Mommy carry?" Abel said in his smallest voice. Tiki smiled down at him before scooping him up and securing him on her hip, his little arms wrapping around her as he buried his sleepy head into the crook of his mother's neck. His baby shampoo filled her senses- clean and soft blonde hair blowing in the breeze, he was still light enough to carry one day he would be too big and the thought made Tiki want to hold him closer and never let him go.

"Are you hungry little man?" she asked Abel's little hand gripped the strap of her summer dress and he shook his head. The air was warm and Tiki lifted her son higher as she continued through the grass to the car park. The sound of her name being called and the jiggling of keys caught her attention and she looked up to see Tara Knowles coming towards them, Tara's chestnut hair curled and free and her lips ruby red. A little overdressed Tiki had thought, but then remembered that Tara had expected Jax to be here. She smiled at how delusional Tara could be always throwing herself at Tiki's old man and not once had Jax given Tara the slightest bit of attention yet she still ran after him like a puppy boundering after a stick. At first, Tiki was jealous, then angry, But now she felt sorry for her.

"Hey, Tiki." Tara smiled as she came to a stop in front of the young mom. "Are you not staying for the fireworks?"

"Yeah, little man has had enough for one day."

"Too loud for him uh," Tara reached her hand out to touch the boy's blonde hair but Tiki shifted him in her arms making Tara miss.

Tara tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "So, how's Jax doing? Has he been on the caterpillar train with you're dad yet? Isn't it some sort of tradition for them to ride the train every year?"

Tiki laughed a little. "Yeah, Jax was scared of that thing when he was a toddler, so all the guys went on it with him. So they still go on when the fairs are in town. But No, Jax isn't here this year."

Tara's face visibly dropped. " Oh, why where is he ?" she asked.

"He's...Tiki hesitated, she didn't discuss club business with outsiders. "Busy."

"Club stuff?" Tara asked and Tiki's brows furrowed She was uncertain about Tara's assumptions regarding Jax's actions at the club, but one thing was clear: it was not Tara's concern.
