Chapter 9- Sunflowers and Whiskers



Cody Nox pov
[The next day]

Dad took the day off work to look after me and mostly give me dating advice which was fine.

Aurora texted me with info about Margo.

Rory

:Margo likes sunflowers and carnations. ;)

:OK

I put my phone away and went upstairs to Dad's office.

"Dad can we go to the farmer's market now?? I need sunflowers and Carnations." I say on the other side of the door.

"Sure go get your shoes on." He says back to me and I go down stairs and slide on my vans.

I sat in the front seat and Dad played his old rock and roll music which I kind of liked.

We reached the farmer's market and dad did most of the talking for me today,Sadly we didn't find any carnations but we did find some sunflowers.

Dad also got some fresh veg and fruit for later,I fell asleep in the car but woke up when we pulled up to the school to pick up rory.

"Codes,Margo's by the tree go give her the flowers." Aurora nudged me and I grabbed the bouquet of sunflowers from my dad and ran up to Margo.

"Cody! Are those for me?" Margo questioned as I held the bouquet in my hands.

I nodded nervously and handed them to her," I love sunflowers,Thank you Cody." She smiled and kissed my cheek.

I felt my body tingle and a smile creep onto my face.

"I'm glad you like them,I'll be back at school next week so um yea,See ya." I mutter and go to walk away.

"Wait Cody." She stops me and I turn to face her when I feel her lips on mine.

I flinch at first before melting into her touch.

We pull away and I look in her eyes stunned.

"See ya cutie." She giggled before running off.

I walked back to the car stunned.

"I got that on camera,You are never hearing the end of this." Aurora said and I just nodded.

We went to pick up Miles and mom from work.

I was giggling like an idiot in the back of the car all the way home.

"Cody! we're home." Mom yelled for me and I snapped back into reality.

"Huh? oh." I huff before getting out of the car and going inside.

I run upstairs and flop onto my soft sheets and kick my feet up in the air giggling.

She's really pretty and she kissed me,Sure She's kissed me before but this one was different.

Aurora gave mom the run down of what happened but I could care less.

She was my sun and I was her sun flower,turning to face her at every chance I got .

Mom came knocking on my door and walked in.

"Cody,Aurora told me what happened,Does this mean that things are official?" Mom chuckled and I blushed.

"We haven't even gone on our first date yet,so no She gives me spiders in my stomach,She doesn't treat me like a weirdo,Mom she's so pretty,She has these gorgeous amber eyes....I'm rambling aren't I?" I swoon and Mom laughs.
