I found it weird that Mateo had asked me out,He never seemed nervous or flushed around me.
He always kept a appropriate distance from me,and he never made me feel like he was into me all that much.
But now here I am,Waiting for him out side the cinema.
"Aurora,Hey I hope you weren't waiting long!" he cheered and I smiled.
"Nope I just got here,Let's go." I exclaimed and we walked in.
I was wondering if this was a date or not,It didn't seem like it to me,It felt that way when he asked me but it feels like we're just two friends hanging out.
"How much is the ticket? I can pay for myself Mateo." I say but Mateo just smiled at me.
"No,I'll pay,I insisted we go." He says and he goes ahead to the ticket booth.
He totally thinks this is a date,right?
He came back with our tickets in hand,He smiled at me and we both walked into the theater,He even payed for the Popcorn and drinks.
How can he just sit there and smile at me and pay for everything,I don't even know what his true intentions are.
I could barely focus on the movie,He seems really interested in the movie.
The entire movie went by and when it was done he wouldn't stop talking about how good it was.
He's kinda cute when he rants,he's nerdy kinda guy but the sweet kind.
We walked around the Mall and talked,He asked when my track meet was,And how school was going for me.
I'm probably the worst person for thinking this but he's really boring.
The small talk is getting out of hand.
It's now or never Aurora..."Hey Mateo,Is this a date?" I questioned and he froze.
"No? I don't really know how to answer that,I mean I guess? it's what ever you want." He muttered.
"I-I don't know what to say,Did you want me to take it as you wanting to take me on a date?" I question him as I stood in front of him.
I'm confused,Sure I've had crushes before,I've gone on dates before but all of those times things were straight forward.Ive know Mateo for three months,That's not enough time to know a person.
"You're pretty Aurora,You're such a good friend to everyone,My heart can't help but flutter around you,My stomach twists at the thought of you,Every time I'm around you I feel like I'm going to burst,I want to get to know you Aurora...only if you let me." Mateo confessed and my face heated up.
"Mateo,I-I had no idea you felt that way...I honestly don't know what to say,But I can say that I would love to get to know you more." I smile and I feel his arms wrap around me into a hug.
