Ingredients:

For the Pancakes:
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-2 tablespoons sugar
-2 teaspoons baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-2 cups buttermilk
-2 large eggs
-1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Food coloring (various colors)

For the Toppings:
-Whipped cream
-Maple syrup
-Fresh berries (optional)

Directions:

Prepare the Pancake Batter:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.

Divide and Color the Batter:

Divide the pancake batter evenly into separate bowls (one for each color you want to use).

Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and gently stir to mix the color in. Adjust the amount of food coloring to achieve your desired color intensity.

Cook the Pancakes:

Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

For each pancake, pour small amounts of different colored batter onto the griddle in a tie-dye pattern.

You can create swirls or other designs by layering the colors.

Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve:

Serve the tie-dye pancakes warm, topped with whipped cream, maple syrup, and fresh berries if desired.
