After the meal, Ray bid farewell to Sand. He was somewhat embarrassed by his gluttonous appearance and said vaguely, “Thanks a lot for today, if there is an opportunity, I’ll invite you for dinner in the future.”
Inwardly, he thought of sending fruits or snacks to Sand later, which could be counted as repaying the favour.
However, Sand seemed to take note of it and glanced at him seriously, “Okay.”
He sent Ray to the entrance.
The corridor lights outside were not switched on today; only the light from inside the house illuminated the corridor.
Ray stepped out of the bright house, wearing blue lounge clothes and a pair of grey slippers which revealed two slender ankles. His skin was exceptionally white, as if a slight pinch would leave a mark.
Sand stared at them and plenty of inappropriate images flashed through his mind in an untimely manner.
He sighed, thinking that he had turned into a pervert after not touching Ray for so many years.
If he wasn’t afraid of scaring Ray, he wouldn’t have allowed the other to walk through the door tonight.
Seeing that Ray was about to disappear into the shadows of the corridor, he suddenly called out to him.
His voice was very light, with only two words floating in the quiet corridor.
“MiRey.”
Ray froze.
He hadn’t heard Sand call him that for many years.
But years ago, when the two lived together, Sand used to hug him and call out his nickname affectionately.
He couldn’t hold back and turned his head to look at Sand.
In the haze, only the light behind Sand was bright, like a beacon in the sea.
He saw Sand smile at him. Although it wasn’t obvious, there was an indescribable sadness in it.
“Go to bed early.” Sand said.
Ray didn’t answer and walked straight back to his house, slamming the door shut as if he wanted to slam it on Sand’s face.
But just because of this “MiRey”, he was in a mess all night.
Even after showering and lying in bed, he clasped his hands and frowned, confused as to what Sand wanted.
On the surface, since the chance encounter in the bar a few days ago, Sand seemed to be quite reserved and hadn’t done anything excessive to him.
It was more appropriate to say that it was like an old classmate who had reconnected after a long time. He was enthusiastic, proper, and thoughtful.
But he still felt that something was wrong with Sand.
Ray thought remorsefully. He had a feeling that Sand was seducing him. He had no evidence, but he had intuition.
