I must've fallen asleep, because loud thumping knocks startled me awake. Groggy, I opened the door to find the twins staring at me with a glimmer of amusement in their eyes.

They always look so happy, disturbing my much beloved sleep.

"Look who's not happy to see us." Drew said with a laugh.

"Maybe you should've called. I was sleeping."

They entered my room and sat on my bean bag chairs.

"Wanna go for a picnic?" Gabe asked.

"When?" I covered my yawn.

"Right now."

A groan escaped from my lips as I let myself drop on my bed.

"C'mon. It's that time of the month." Drew joked.

We usually go to the national forest a couple times a month. For this month of April, we haven't gone picnicking yet.

"Alright. Let's go."

Gabe's black Honda Civic greeted us as we went to the parking lot. I noticed Drew's gray backpack that he likes packing food in, and a pack of 12 bottles of Lipton iced tea in the back seat.

"You called me to your room for an outing?"

"Yep. But then we fell asleep." Gabe nodded.

"Cool." I got in the back seat, while Drew took the passenger seat next to Gabe who will be driving.

"I'll have to go home next week." Gabe announced as he started driving.

"Is everything alright ?" I asked.

I looked as his shoulders sag a little with the smile on his face. I hoped he was ok.

"My dad's not feeling well. I'm really praying it's nothing serious."

"I'm sorry, man. I'll be praying for you." I replied sincerely.

"I'm always praying for you, Gabe." Drew said.

"Thank you, both of you. I really appreciate that. I'm glad we could hang out like this. The weather's perfect today."

"Yep. And we'll see the birds and waterfalls. I love nature!" Drew's excitement was contagious.

We got to the forest. We followed a trail to an area that was grassy with a little river running by. Our favorite spot is surrounded by trees and wildflowers. Drew started chasing after a bird. Gabe and I laughed at him. He had the heart of a child, and that's what we love about him.

Soon, we unpacked the food. We all got a bottle of iced tea and a sandwich. I was delighted in this little communion we were having. Satisfied, we talked of easy things.

We fell asleep and when I woke up, I saw Gabe and Drew cuddled up. Drew was spooning Gabe like he was his teddy bear. I checked my phone to see the time 6 PM and a missed call from Emily? I called her back.

"What's up, girl?"

"Nothing urgent. I just finished writing my letter answering your What is love? essay I promised you."

"I appreciate it. I'll check it soon."

"You're welcome." She ended the call before I could add anything.

I noticed a pair of eyes staring at me. Gabe and Drew were both awake now, still cuddling though.

Drew gave me a cheeky smile.

"What?" I asked to hear what I was missing.

"Was that Emily?" Gabe asked.

"Yeah?"

"I knew it!" Drew exclaimed.

"What?" I repeated myself.

But instead of answering, they just laughed. I was getting confused.

"Sorry, bro. We really think you and Emily will make a good couple." Drew finally said.

I rolled my eyes. "Not this again."

"She's literally your soulmate. You're both the same. So obsessed over iced tea." Drew continued.

"And you're both God-fearing people." Gabe added.

"God Himself will bring us together if it's His will." I concluded.

"Amen." Drew gave me a thumbs up.

"If you don't mind me asking, Gabe, what does your dad have?" I asked.

He shrugged. "I don't know. My mom just said that he's been losing weight and having headaches."

"That's tough."

He nodded, before a cheerful smile overtook his face. "I trust in God."

"Amen!"

"Oh, and we forgot to tell you." Drew wrapped his arm around Gabe, almost protectively.

I simply raised an eyebrow in question.

"Oh yeah." Gabe crossed his arms with a small smile on his face.

Their defensive attitude was making me confused.

"I'm not going to judge you guys."

"We started going to a church group." Gabe finally said.

"An LGBT church group." Drew added.

Gabe nodded, then shook his head. "An ex LGBT church group."

"Yeah." Drew agreed.

"So a church group for people who used to be in the LGBT community?" I asked.

They both nodded.

"Like I said, I'm not judging you guys."

"Well, we just apprehended your reaction, especially that you're the only person we know who actually sees something negative about our relationship." Gabe explained.

"I just read too much and had revelations from God concerning this issue." I said. "So why go to an ex LGBT church group?"

They looked at each other, then Gabe gave the answer.

"I was invited by someone from our church who recently left. She was a lesbian. Drew and I were really curious as to why she left considering that our church is LGBT. She said that she wanted the truth."

"We only went once, and everyone in that group seemed friendly enough. They knew we were dating too."

"Yeah. I honestly thought they'll kick us out for trying to understand their perspective. If being with Drew is wrong, and it's God's will, we'll break up."

I sensed sadness in his voice, and Drew didn't look happy either. But what Gabe said really intrigued me. Everyone knows they're in a serious, committed relationship. They once told me that they believed they were soul mates. For them to actually break up if it's God's will also shows their desire to please Abba's heart. They're more faithful to Yahusha than most couples I know.

"Seek Him and you will find Him. I trust that God will reveal the truth to you both." I smiled.
