Oh... Hey.

After Dawn went home last night, my parents were quite shocked when I told them I befriended the new neighbors daughter. I watched in amusement as their faces twisted in pure unbelief, and I didn't know whether to feel insulted by their shock or interested in how far my mothers jaw dropped and how wide my fathers eyes got. I could tell my father didn't know how to respond to me getting a friend so quickly by the way he said "W-wow, sweetie. That's, uh, great. Amazing actually... Just... wow, a friend so quick? That's great sweetheart." And my mother, my lovely, blunt mother, said "You're horrible at meeting people, why could this girl possibly want to be your friend? I mean, you're you.

I told them all about last night and in their own twisted way, they were happy for me. After all that I got in my bed and watched supernatural, texting Jamie whenever something crazy happened, and ranting to Loki about how much I hate my favorite show. Eventually I fell asleep, waking up with Loki literally on my forehead, my phone missing and my laptop on the floor.

"Loki, really? This bed is King sized, and out of all the places you could have chose to sleep, you chose my face." I groan. "Move," I sit up, pushing Loki onto a pillow next to me. She meows, moving herself to cuddle against my thigh.

First task of the day... change my clothes. I spilled cereal on these pajamas yesterday, I should change into fresh ones. My body aches as I slowly stand up, getting familiar with movement. Unwanted memories of Jake pour into my mind like a tsunami as I undress myself. Chills run down my spine and tears immediately threaten to fall but I shake the memories away. Pushing the memories so far back into my mental vault, I continued undressing. My feet tip toe on the cold  wooden floor as I make my way to my closet. Loki jumps from the bed and begins to claw at my feet, something she likes to do when she wants to play. In the middle of me going to pick her up, I nearly fall to the ground from fright at the sound of Dawns voice.

"You own some really nice t-shirts, ya kno-" she says nonchalantly, getting cut off by my shouting, as she steps out of my closet holding out one of my favorite shirts.

"Oh my god, Dawn, what the hell? I'm, like 100% naked right now!" I shout, searching for something to cover my body with.

"You're wha- Oh, Jesus Christ, put some bloody clothes on, will you?" she shouts back after looking at me for half of a second and immediately shielding her eyes.

"What the hell were you doing in my closet? How long were you in there? Why are you even in my house? How did you get in?" I question her as I push her out the way and run into the closet, closing the door behind me.

"Relax, okay? I came by, like, half an hour ago and your mom let me in before she left. I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out today. Is it okay to look?"

"Yeah," I say from the closet, looking for my pajamas to put on. "Sure, we can hang out. You scared the hell out of me, Dawn, I met you yesterday. You can't just appear in my room while I'm naked."

Maybe I shouldn't have gone over her house yesterday. I literally just met the girl and she's already showing up in my closet at 10 in the morning? That's the kind of behavior I expect from Jamie, who has been my best friend for 4 years. Not someone I've known for less than 24 hours.

"Okay, fine. That's for further in the friendship, I guess. Don't put on pajamas by the way," she says just as I find the perfect pair to wear.

"Are you kidding me?" I groan. " What do I wear, then?"

"What you would usually wear when you go fork and tape shopping."

"You're buying the stuff today?" I ask in excitement.

"Yeah, why not. Don't have anything else better to do, and neither do you."

I quickly put on a pair of shorts and the t-shirt Dawn was examining, along with a lovely pair of black vans. The t-shirt is white and over sized with a threaded in drawing of a girls face and at the bottom it says "I Am Art" . I tuck only a little bit of the front into my shorts, and a nice aesthetically pleasing feeling washes over me. I come out of the closet and begin to do the daily routine of brushing of the teeth and eating of the breakfast. I try to do it quickly so Dawn and I can get the supplies for the Eiffel Tower of Forks, nearly choking on the milk of my cereal. I've been wanting to build this thing for weeks, my dream will finally come true. Dawn just watches me in amusement and plays with Loki the whole time.
