Blake
"Has she said anything since then?"
Blake shook her head at Liam, "I think she really does just think that we're friends and I was angry over her being a little bitchy toward me last semester, too. She seems like she does want to be friends, though."
Liam smiled at her from her bed. Marie had late classes, and Blake had managed to casually find out that she was going straight to Lexi's to spend the night, so she'd told Liam to come over. They'd both been doing homework and taking little breaks to make out or talk. At first, at least. Since Blake couldn't even spend every other night with Liam, she found her discipline slipping now that he was here and she could have him all to herself. Touching him made that even worse.
So she'd moved to her desk for the last bit of her work. She'd finished most of her homework--she and Liam still had a few classes together and had made a habit of tackling it together in the library or one of the study halls or dining halls during the day, but he had his music homework, and she had work on her CRM to get through. She was just about done with it, though.
"That's a good thing, right?" Liam asked, "It should make things easier when you finally figure out how to tell her?"
Blake rolled her eyes, "Would you be fine if one of your friends started dating Marie?"
Liam's eyes took on a far-off cast, and Blake smiled as she watched her boyfriend think. There was something she really liked about watching him when he was like this. Something about how his lips pressed out just a bit more than usual, maybe? He certainly looked very kissable when he was deep in thought.
Or maybe he just looks kissable because I'm always fucking horny around him.
"Marie? No," Liam said, "But that's just because things would get way too weird with the current situation. If Marie wasn't your roommate, I think I would be a little more okay with it."
Blake rolled her eyes, "Ugh, but that's because you're you and you're stupidly thoughtful and not weirded out by a lot of things that bother most people."
Liam cocked an eyebrow, but grinned at her, "I'm sorry? I think?"
Blake stuck her tongue out at him, then turned back to her work.
She was no where near finished with the project as a whole, still, but for the bit of work she'd scheduled for today, she just had to test part of the code she'd written and make any adjustments.
A few minutes later, Blake smiled as she closed down her computer.
She'd still had to make a few corrections, but not nearly as many as last time. Classes and studying with Liam were helping her with keeping the fundamentals at the front of her mind so she didn't overcomplicate things or forget the basics.
When she spun her chair back toward her bed, Blake found Liam with his book and folder closed, stacked on the floor beside her bed. He was on his phone, completely oblivious to her.
After smiling to herself, Blake tried her best to affect an affronted expression. She considered whipping her shirt off just to see the expression on Liam's face, but then decided he'd probably notice that. She cleared her throat.
"I've got to be more interested than whatever is on there."
Liam grinned up at her, setting his phone down, "You are. Your chair was blocking you, though, and that's pretty boring."
Blake's throat tightened for a moment as she smiled.
Liam had just set his phone down. He hadn't closed it or locked the screen. Just set it down.
