(3rd Person's POV)

(Present time)

"Everyone, calmly proceed to the emergency exits! I guarantee that all of you will get out safely, so don't panic!" Jung Minsung said to the people who are frantically escaping from the rift that opened inside one of the shopping centers in Gangnam.

"Here's your toy, kid," Hong Jongsuk said as he calmly handed a doll to a child that dropped it by accident.

"T-Thanks, Samchon," the child smiled before returning to her mother, who bowed in respect to his deed.

"Samchon, huh?! I guess I'm going to be an Uncle soon. Right, Minsung-ah?" Jongsuk smirked.

"Don't ask me. Rather, ask Sae Noona and Wooyoung Hyung instead," Minsung chuckled when a familiar sinister presence appeared in front of them.

"Demons, huh? I guess they multiply like flies, now that the world's in chaos," Jongsuk commented, readying his gun.

"Yeah, right. But anyway, we have to slow their advance here nevertheless or else, the people might get in danger," Minsung agreed, unholstering his gun as well.

However...

"ARGHHHHH!!!!" the demon let out a desperate cry after receiving a solid uppercut from an unknown yet quick hand, sending it upward.

And yet, instead of hitting the ceiling, another figure jumped in and intercepted it, giving it a rolling axe kick on the head, which is a difficult, if not impossible move at all.

"I guess everything's all cleared, Unnie," they heard one of them say as the demon turned into ashes after dying.

"I guess we can just leave the rift's closing to Elsie, then," the figure that initiated the axe kick earlier, commented.

"Who the hell are you?" Jongsuk asked as he and Minsung aimed their guns at them.

"Relax, Hong Jongsuk-nim. We're just here to help," the younger of the two told them. "And the safety of your gun is still on, Jung Minsung-nim," she added.

"How did you know about us?" Minsung asked as the two ladies approached them.

"Let's just say that...we have a mutual friend, Thanatos," the older one told him.

"Only a few people call us by our old names. I guess your...friend is someone who knew us well," Jongsuk answered, holstering his gun.

"I guess you weren't called the greatest mage of your generation for nothing, Hong Jongsuk-nim," the older lady commented.

"But sadly, we lost our powers during our last battle so we're just normal humans now," Jongsuk answered.

"Go to the Stream of Memories. That's the only way for you two to get your powers back," the younger one told them.

"Stream of Memories?" Minsung asked.

"By breaking this crystal, a rift leading to the place will open up for you," the older one answered as she handed Minsung a black crystal the size of his fist. "Expect a very hot welcome from the denizens of that side, so you better prepare yourselves well," she warned.

"This is all the help we could give on our side so, you better make the best use of it," the younger one replied as a third person appeared and put two attaché cases in front of them. "Here's hoping that we fight together on the battlefield next time," she added before she and the other two mysteriously vanished.

"So it's them, huh?" Minsung commented after seeing a familiar logo of a bear with dragon-like scales embedded in the attaché cases. "I've seen this logo appearing in multiple private internet forums recently. If I remember correctly, they call themselves the Bahamut Group," he answered.
