(3rd Person's POV)

[Oh, shit. Here we go again.]

[Something tells me that we veered off target, and yet not at the same time, Son.]

These are the very words that Nidhogg and Ursalia, Hirai Hatori's confidants, said as they finally touched down to their new destination.

[I guess we made it back to the right world in one piece. Just in the past, though.] Hatori commented after calming himself down.

Yes, calming down is the correct word because honestly, he was on the verge of breaking down after numerous trials and errors that the three of them had to undertake for the past two years.

[But to think that we landed here seven years before. Close and yet so far at the same time.] Nidhogg, the Black Dragon of Destruction, said.

[Well, everything happens for a reason, Son. It's just that we don't know about it for now.] Ursalia the Spirit Bear commented.

[Come to think of it, we barely have a year before the seams start appearing on their own.] Hatori thought for a while.

[So it means that we actually landed in a peaceful era? This world doesn't need us so, how are we going to shine brightly here?] Nidhogg asked, concerned.

[Shine brightly? What do you mean?] Hatori asked.

[Seriously, Kiddo. Do you really think that, all we need to do is to return to our timeline, and everything will turn out fine? Aren't you being stupid right now?] Nidhogg told him.

[I can't help but agree, Son. After all, our efforts will mean nothing if Loki still manages to kill us in the end. That's why we have to empower ourselves as much as possible.] Ursalia replied.

[I'm aware that you weren't slacking off at all, Kiddo. However, at this rate, your power won't be enough once we get there.] Nidhogg replied. [If you ask me, our arrival during this time is actually a blessing in disguise.] he added.

[Same feeling here, Son. You see, we have seven whole years, if not more, to train before the monsters start appearing. Moreover, we can do the necessary preparations ahead of time.] Ursalia answered.

Hatori was about to speak when suddenly, he felt a surge of immense power quickly approaching them.

[This presence...impossible.] Nidhogg commented.

[What is it?] he asked.

[Prepare yourself, Kiddo. Everything you learned and experienced until now will be tested by him.] Nidhogg warned.

[Him?] he asked again.

"A time paradox, huh?! How troublesome," a guy wearing a cobra-themed cloak and hood commented as he stood in front of me, eyeing me intensely.

"What are you?" he asked, keeping his guard up despite the guy's relaxed state.

"People in the past call me Baldur the Wanderer, and I'm here to put everything back into their respective places," he answered. "You arriving in the past might have happened by accident but, since it is impossible for you to return to your own timeline, I will have your existence literally erased here," he added, readying his staff.

Before he even managed to retaliate, the guy unleashed a ball of pure energy, which was thrown straight at him.

N-No...way, Hatori desperately thought after seeing himself and his surroundings slowly disintegrate until everything turned white.

"Of all things, I never thought that I'd be able to see that book again, Young Master," Logos the Frog commented as Baldur picked up the Tome of Origin.
