CONVERGENCE (WARPED Book Three)

(3rd Person's POV)

"KEEP FIGHTING, ALL OF YOU! ONCE THIS DEFENSIVE LINE FALLS, ALL OF THE ENEMIES WILL OVERRUN SEOUL!" Kang Sejeong yelled out to Seungyeon and Elsie, as well as the rest of the mercenaries that stayed with them to defend the city from the monster invasion.

"TANKS, FORM A LINE! RANGE ATTACKERS, MAKE SURE TO GET BEHIND THE TANKS AND FIRE AT WILL!" Kang Seungyeon ordered. "SUPPORT, MOVE THE INJURED OUT AND HAVE THEM TREATED RIGHT AWAY!" she added.

They managed to maintain the line for a few hours, until...

"Unnie, this is a lost cause. At this rate, all of our men will surely die," Seungyeon told her.

"In that case, tell the rest of the men to retreat and lead the citizens out of Seoul right away," Sejeong calmly replied. "I guess I'll remain here and keep the enemies distracted for as long as I can."

"I know you're gonna say that, so I'm staying as well, Unnie," Seungyeon commented. "I already gave the final orders to our men so, we can rest easy now, and fight to our hearts' content."

"Yah. Shouldn't you be the one remaining to continue our bloodline, at least?" Sejeong complained.

"And let you, a precious family member, die alone? Would you like our heroic ancestors to rise from their graves and haunt me forever, Unnie?" Seungyeon retorted.

"Aish, these two crazy sisters. What am I going to do with both of you?" Elsie commented, standing beside them as well.

"Heol. Looks like the three of us will be with each other until the end, huh?" Sejeong commented, smiling as they all took their drinking flasks at the same time. "Bottoms up!" she yelled out.

"Bottoms up!" the other two replied.

However, as they all raised their flasks to take a drink, a barrage of fiery arrows rained towards the invading monster horde, killing all of them in an instant.

"I'm sorry, Noona, but no one's dying under my watch," a familiar voice crackled over their comms, which was broadcast on the special frequency that only they and the higher-ups from the Bahamut Group were allowed to have access to.

"H-Hajoon-ah? Is that...really you?!" Sejeong asked, still not believing what they had just heard.

"I'm still busy right now so, I'll just visit the company later," was the abrupt reply before the line went static.

"Yah. Did we just survive the onslaught?" Elsie asked after confirming the destruction in front of them all.

"Alright! The Boss is back! I'll make sure to spar with him after this so, I might as well continue training!" Seungyeon cheered up, slapping her cheeks twice before straightening herself.

"Call the remaining forces, Elsie. Tell them all that we'll strike back at the stampede's remnants and end this invasion," she ordered.

"HAHAHAHA!!! DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK THAT THE TWO OF YOU ARE WORTHY TO FIGHT ME?!" A sinister being that suddenly appeared said right after defeating both Hong Jongsuk and Jung Minsung.

"OPPA!!!!" Song Hayoung and Baek Jiheon both yelled out as they and the other Fromis_9 members were looking at the two defeated Adepts, who were both struggling to stand up.

"You're not...gonna move...away from here, Loki," Jongsuk commented, catching his breath after getting back on his feet.

"Right. We're not gonna let you do your thing...as long as we're alive," Minsung added, standing as well.
