Starhunter gasped and started coughing. She fell down onto the hard stone floor. Sapphire stared in shock of what had just happened. Nightroar kneeled down beside her and whispered something in her ear.
"That sounded like a prophecy," Amber breathed.
"A scary one indeed," Catfish replied.
"Was it another vision?" Nightroar asked. Futureseer was pacing around. Starhunter opened her eyes, back to heather purple. She got up, her talon over her forehead.
"I think it was— although it never came out in words before. I think Amber might be right," Starhunter explained. Sapphire came up to them.
"The Twilight Stars. Why did it mention the Twilight Stars?" Sapphire asked.
"I don't know. Why would the prophecy mention a dragonet's scroll?" Starhunter wondered aloud.
"Can you explain to us what you saw? We need to discuss about this," Futureseer asked.
"Sure, I guess," Starhunter replied. "It shows silhouettes of dragonets flying across the continent to an island when the prophecy says 'Do fly across land so far.'"
"I also see the five dragonet silhouettes holding up something in their talons. And a large dragon looms over them which is the part where the prophecy says 'Do stop greatest evil.' The vision has been repeating for weeks now. I've never thought it would be a prophecy," Starhunter muttered.
As the dragons around Sapphire muttered and wondered, she was thinking about one thing. Earlier, her horn ring had saved Amber and her from a falling tree. She knew it had to be related to the Legend. Now, Sapphire was for certain that the Twilight Stars were real. Sapphire had one, and there was a prophecy for it. Just right when Sapphire opened her mouth to discuss it, Amber pointed it out first.
"I remembered that Sapphire once told me a wearable Twilight Star that could save dragons from nature's harm. It happened before!" The SkyWing exclaimed. "Could it be related to the prophecy?"
Futureseer was nodding as he remembered the experience he had witnessed. Sapphire was smiling at Amber, impressed that she remembered. Catfish and Starhunter looked confused, and Nightroar looked worried.
"Greatest evil . . . Greatest evil . . ." Futureseer was muttering. "I think I've figured it out!" Everyone turned to look at the black dragonet as shimmers of purple flickered across his scales.
"I've heard that ever since Azure had become Queen, she had been such a cruel Queen no dragon had ever seen. She forces dragonets in the war, kills her own soldiers and evens destroy innocent townsfolk who aren't part of the war! I think that— I think Azure may be the greatest evil," Futureseer explained. It started to all fit into Sapphire's mind now as she nodded at Futureseer's point.
"Guys, we should be leaving now. Darklistener may be coming back at any moment now from his break duty!" Nightroar worried. "We'd better go!" Without another word, the bluish NightWing ran toward the gate and heaved it open. Starhunter and the dragonets hurried after them as the gates opened to reveal the late night stars that hung above them. Sapphire looked up at the dazzling spots of light as she imagined herself, a dragon who obtained the Twilight Stars. Sapphire turned her gaze away and quickly lifted into the air to follow the dragons.
While most of the dragons blended in the night, Catfish and Amber stuck out like a broken wing. Sapphire noticed Futureseer and Starhunter putting themselves around the dragonets to hide them from sight. Sapphire's wings stuck out, but from afar, she would look like part of the moons.
The dragons glided up and down until a range of mountains came into view. They slowed down their pace to land near them. Sapphire stared at the mountains in amazement as she remembered Futureseer's words. They are just magnificent at night!
The stormy gray-blue mountains now seemed to be glowing like fire. The stars twinkled above and around it and the light of the moons shone on the mountains. Sapphire was flabbergasted at the beautiful scenery. Her wings almost gave way as the dragons landed on a small cliff on the mountains. Sapphire stretched her talons and yawned. She wasn't used to staying up so late. Catfish brushed Sapphire's wing and Sapphire felt warm. She hadn't been able to interact with Catfish. She smiled.
While the dragons yammered on and about the prophecy, Catfish pulled Sapphire by her talon dragging her to a small hollow away from ear-shot.
"Where are you taking me?" Sapphire asked, surprised by the way Catfish had grabbed her.
"I wanted to talk to you," Catfish simply said. He let go of her talon and settled down in a comfortable position. "It's obvious you don't know this yet, but . . . Futureseer is very fond of you."
"As a friend?" Sapphire tried to finish. Catfish shook his head.
"He likes you, Sapphire. And I mean a lot. I've already noticed this and so have other dragons. Don't you see the looks he gives you?"
Sapphire thought for a moment, still surprised by what Catfish had revealed. She remembered the look of passion in Futureseer's dark eyes. The way he teased her and how he interacted with her. Sapphire finally realized that Catfish was right.
"But I . . ." Sapphire's voice broke off as Catfish looked at her. Sapphire suddenly realized that she sort had felt the same for him. She was very friendly with him and was made friends with him very quickly. Sapphire shook her head, clearing out the words she was about to say. "I see."
Catfish nodded and left the hollow. Sapphire sat there still as she thought about the way Futureseer felt about her. Her eyes grew tired and everything started to fade. In her last bit of energy, she called out that she was going to rest for a bit. And everything blanketed in black.
