The Phantom was enraged after reading the letter. He couldn't believe someone would murder the woman who was like a mother to him. He was very close to going on a rampage, when Madame Giry said his name, pulling him from his rage.

"What?" He snapped.

"Keep an eye on them, please," she begged. "You can do that better than I can."

With a hesitant nod, he disappeared into the darkness.

Selina followed behind her sister and cousin as Meg led them to a room. She was happy that Adele was happy. It had been a while since that had happened. She grew even happier as she watched her sister socialize for the first time in months.

Smiling slightly, she fell back a little, seeing Adele was fine.

As they came across the room they would be staying in, Meg paused and said, "This is it. The room across the hall is the Prima Donna's. This room was originally built for her understudy, but...she never got one." She handed Adele one key while she used the other to unlock the door, handing it to Selina afterwards.

Opening the door, they coughed as dust rose up. "Sorry. Twenty years of non-usage can do a number." Meg said. "I know it's not much."

Adele looked around with a grin and said, "This is great!"

Meg smiled and pulled them both in, shutting it securely behind them. "Now," She said seriously. "There's some things you need to know."

Adele giggled and said, "It's an opera house, I know how it works."

She frowned. "Not this."

Both girls were curious now. "Then what?" The youngest said.

"The Opera Ghost. Or, The Phantom of The Opera."

"Huh?" Adele asked.

"He haunts this place, hearing every word. He wears a white mask on his face to hide horrifying features. At least that's what Joseph Buquet, our chief stagehand, says. Be careful, and do not wander." Selina frowned slightly, remembering her Aunt's words. Don't let her wander. It would not be wise. "The Opera is his. Everything we do is under his permission. I would abide by his rules unless you want malevolent tricks or death," Meg said solemnly.

The two nodded, slightly scared. Selina bit her lip, wondering now if coming to the Opera was the best idea.

Meg moved on to a more lighthearted topic. " On the other hand, watch out for the Prima Donna. She's a witch. A diva through and through." She smiled at them, before leaving.

After Meg left, Selina turned to Adele. Believing they were alone, she spoke quietly. "We can leave, if you wish."

Adele turned her her head in astonishment. "Are you kidding?" She exclaimed. "This is great! Ghost stories, a picky Prima Donna, what else could be better?"

Selina drew her lips into a line. She knew for a fact that the Opera Ghost was real. She remembered a child, a couple years older than her when she was little, one with strange features that would horrify grown men. It didn't bother her, though. She had seen her share of cruelty.
Though they look the same, the sisters had different fathers. Selina's had died when she was six, from a 'freak' stage accident. She don't blame the Phantom. He was still learning how to get around when it had happened. Selina was ten when her mother had remarried that awful man, and they were forced to leave. She remembered her friend, teaching her to play the piano. He was also the one who started her singing. When her mother had heard them, she was overjoyed. She was a chorus girl in the opera when she was on stage, so she taught her everything she knew, before the accident that stopped her from speaking.

Who could ever forget someone who did so much?

Thanks for reading!
I am aware that the age difference is larger between the Phantom and Christine, but it didn't work for my story. So this is what I have done to change the ages:
Phantom-27
Selina-23
Adele, Meg, Christine-12

I now have a total of six books uploaded to Wattpad, if you would take a look.
