Knuckles: I don't know why I was given this job, or why I was designated to be here, like it's my job to stay here, forever.

Nazo appears on top of the Master Emerald as Knuckles looks up

Knuckles: What the?!

Nazo disappears with the Master Emerald

Knuckles: Damn it! Without the Master Emerald's power this whole island will fall into the ocean!

Angel Island shakes violently before falling into the ocean

Nazo breaks into a jewelry store in Downtown Metropolis

Nazo: Chaos Emerald captured.

Nazo puts his hand downward toward the city before firing at the city with a red beam then Nazo flies off as the city explodes

Shadow stares down at the radio in Green Hill

Female News Reporter: What you see here is what's left of Downtown Metropolis, after a massive explosion engulfed the city. Right before the explosion took place, a distress call from a jewelry store claiming a monster resembling that of a hedgehog, had stolen the Chaos Emerald, and broken out of the store. Moments later, a red light filled the sky, And the city was demolished. Reports have confirmed that the being is not Sonic the Hedgehog, as not to make the same mistake twice. The mysterious hedgehog was last seen heading southbound toward the bad lands of South Island. The president has announced, thr planet's force to combat the alien is our beloved hero, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Shadow: in mind Sonic... why does that... name bother me so much?

Shadow's fist clenches

Tails flies in the sky until Knuckles appears beside him, gliding

Tails: Hey look it's Sonic!

Sonic does a loop-de-loop before jumping and spotting Tails and Knuckles

Sonic: Tails! Long time no see!

Tails tells Sonic what happened to Angel Island and the hedgehog that appeared on the island and how it stole the Master Emerald

Sonic: Hm

Sonic: Doesn't seem like anything hard that I can't deal with!

Sonic, Tails and Knuckles reach another part of the desert

Knuckles: I can sense that emeralds are around here somewhere.

Tails looks around and spots the emeralds

Tails: The Emeralds!

Scene shifts to the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds as they start glowing slightly then scene shifts to Knuckles and Sonic

Sonic: Yes! Hm? What's up?

Knuckles: I feel some strange energy.

Nazo teleports in, infront of the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds
