Yuzi:  *[10:06 AM]*
Whoa, nice pic, Ishu! But you know what? You should delete it. Now. 😂

Jinks:  *[10:07 AM]*
Yeah, delete it, Ishu. This is too much for a Monday morning.

Jaddu:  *[10:07 AM]*
Seconded. Not in the mood for jealousy today. 😒

Shikhi:  *[10:08 AM]*
Seriously, Ishu. Delete it before things get heated here. 😤

Ishu:  *[10:08 AM]*
Come on, guys, it's just a pic! What's the big deal?

Vi:  *[10:09 AM]*
Nah, leave it, Ishu. It's a great picture. No need to get jealous, everyone. Let's appreciate the moment.

Jaddu:  *[10:10 AM]*
Wait, what? Vi, are you feeling alright?

Harry:  *[10:10 AM]*
I'm shocked! Vi praising a pic of Ro with someone else? What's going on here?

Vi:  *[10:11 AM]*
Just saying, let's not get worked up over small things. Corey and Ro look happy, that's all that matters.

Rohit stared at his phone screen, his brow furrowed in confusion. Virat's unexpected reaction left him unsettled. Vi had always been fiercely possessive of their friendship. For him to nonchalantly brush off a picture of Rohit with Corey was out of character. Rohit had prepared himself for the usual jealous banter, ready to pamper and reassure his best friend. Instead, Vi's calm acceptance felt like a stark departure from their norm.

Rohit quickly typed a response in the group chat, hoping to provoke a reaction from Vi.

Ro:[10:12 AM]
Great shot, Ishu! Corey looks like he's having the time of his life. 🤗

He hit send, his eyes flickering back to the screen for Vi's reply. But there was nothing. No sarcastic retort, no jealous remark. Just silence. Rohit felt a knot of worry tighten in his stomach. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

Determined to find out, he left his room and headed straight to Vi's. As he reached the door, he didn't bother knocking. He knew Vi well enough to know that knocking would only give his friend time to hide whatever was bothering him. He pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Vi was sitting on the edge of his bed, staring at his phone, the image of Corey and Rohit still displayed on the screen. His expression was a mix of sadness and insecurity. Rohit felt a pang of guilt. He hadn't realized just how deeply this was affecting Vi.

"Vi, what's going on?" Rohit asked, trying to keep his voice gentle.

Vi looked up, startled by Rohit's sudden appearance. He quickly composed himself, putting on a mask of indifference. "Nothing, Ro. Just tired, I guess."

Rohit wasn't buying it. He walked over and sat down beside Vi, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Come on, Vi. I know you better than that. Something's bothering you. Talk to me."

Vi shook his head, avoiding eye contact. "It's nothing, Ro. Really."

Rohit sighed, knowing this was going to take some effort. He wasn't going to let Vi brush this off so easily. "Vi, please. You're my best friend. I can tell when something's wrong. Just tell me what's going on."

Vi's façade started to crack. He clenched his jaw, trying to hold back the flood of emotions. Finally, after a long moment, he let out a frustrated sigh and snapped, "Alright, fine! You want to know what's wrong? I'm scared, okay? I'm scared that I'm not your best friend anymore!"

Rohit was taken aback by the outburst. He hadn't expected Vi to be this vulnerable. "What? Vi, that's ridiculous. Of course, you're my best friend. Why would you think otherwise?"

Vi's eyes were filled with a mix of anger and sadness. "Because it feels like you're slipping away, Ro! You and Corey, you and everyone else... it feels like I'm losing you."

Rohit's heart sank. He hadn't realized just how deeply Vi was feeling this. He reached out, pulling Vi into a tight hug. "Vi, you will always be my best friend. No one can ever take your place. Corey is just a friend. You are my brother."

Vi clung to Rohit, his insecurities slowly melting away in the warmth of the embrace. "Promise?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Rohit pulled back slightly, looking Vi in the eyes. "I promise, Vi. No one can ever replace you. Not now, not ever."

Vi nodded, finally allowing himself to believe it. He knew that as long as he had Rohit by his side, everything would be alright.

Rohit decided that actions spoke louder than words. He wanted to show Vi that their bond was unbreakable. Over the next few weeks, he made a conscious effort to spend more time with Vi. They trained together, hung out after matches, and even indulged in their favorite pastime of playing video games late into the night.

One evening, while they were in the middle of a particularly intense game, Rohit paused and looked at Vi. "You know, Vi, I was thinking. How about we take a trip together? Just the two of us. It could be a great way to reconnect and remind ourselves of why we're best friends."

Vi's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Really? Just the two of us? That sounds amazing, Ro!"

Rohit smiled, happy to see Vi's excitement. "Yeah, really. We'll pick a place, pack our bags, and just go. No cricket, no distractions. Just us."

They spent the next few days planning their trip, choosing a quiet beach destination where they could relax and unwind. The anticipation of the trip brought a renewed sense of closeness between them.
