The stadium was alive with the roaring crowd as the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced off against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). It was an intense match, but what captured everyone's attention was Virat Kohli stepping onto the field despite having eight stitches on his hand. His determination to play had been met with strong protests from his teammates, especially AB de Villiers, and surprisingly, Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, who had come secretly to meet him and dissuade him from playing.

In the RCB dressing room, AB de Villiers paced back and forth, his concern for Virat evident in his eyes. "Virat, this is madness. You need to rest. Your hand isn't fully healed."

Virat, dressed in his RCB jersey, looked up with a determined gaze. "AB, I have to do this. The team needs me. I can handle it."

Rohit Sharma, standing in the corner with his arms crossed, added, "Vi, think about your career. One match isn't worth risking your health."

But Virat was resolute. "I appreciate your concern, Ro. But this is my decision."

Despite their protests, Virat walked out onto the field, the crowd erupting in cheers. His presence on the pitch was electrifying. He batted with such intensity and skill that it was hard to believe he was playing with an injury. Every shot he played sent the ball racing across the field, and the crowd was on their feet, cheering for their captain.

Virat's performance was nothing short of brilliant. He scored runs with precision, guiding his team to a strong position. His determination and grit were evident in every move he made. The pain in his hand was significant, but his willpower overshadowed it.

When the match concluded with RCB securing a victory, the crowd erupted in celebration. Virat, though visibly exhausted and in pain, raised his bat to acknowledge the fans. As he walked back to the dressing room, the adrenaline began to wear off, and the pain in his hand became more pronounced.

Back in the dressing room, AB de Villiers was the first to approach him. "Virat, you were incredible out there. But you need to take care of that hand."

Virat gave a tired smile. "I will, AB. I promise."

Just then, the door to the dressing room opened, and to Virat's surprise, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Mahi Bhai) and Yuvraj Singh (Yuvraj Pa) walked in. Their presence was unexpected but heartwarming.

"Vi," Mahi said, his voice calm and reassuring as always, yet there was an edge of anger. "What you did out there was extraordinary. But you need to be more careful. This is reckless."

Yuvraj, his expression stern, added, "We expected better from you, Virat. Playing with stitches like that... you could have seriously injured yourself."

Virat's eyes widened in surprise at their reactions. "Mahi Bhai, Yuvi Pa, I had to do it for the team. They needed me out there."

Mahi's gaze was piercing. "And what about your future? What if something had gone wrong? You need to think beyond one match."

Yuvraj crossed his arms, giving Virat the cold shoulder. "You always talk about responsibility. This wasn't responsible."

Virat sighed, stepping closer to them. "I understand your concerns. I really do. But I felt it was the right decision. I couldn't sit out and let the team down."

Mahi's expression softened slightly, but his tone remained firm. "We’re not saying you shouldn't be there for your team, Virat. But you have to know your limits."

Virat nodded. "I hear you, Mahi Bhai. I really do."

He then turned to Yuvraj, who still looked upset. "Yuvi Pa, please understand. I wasn't trying to be reckless. I was just trying to lead by example."
