Joshua's Pov

I sorted the remaining documents, satisfied that I was able to convince our investors not to pull out. I assured them that I would fix the current situation. I accepted that those who wished to leave the company could do so, but none of them would be accepted back.

If they desired to leave, they could, but forever. No future investments or collaborations will be made with them. Some chose to leave, while others remained, having faith that I would solve the problem.

When you are at your lowest, having nothing to offer is when you truly identify your friend and those loyal to you.

I understand the business mind. Where losses are made, you do not invest; when business is profitable, you invest.

Some people never understand that some businesses start well. They end up making losses, thus shutting down. Others will start low but will pick up after some time and remain strong. For my business, it started strong, and now we have some losses in different sectors. Regardless we will thrive and be better than the beginning.

This is what the investors chose not to see. I am happy they left. I don't want to deal with liabilities in my company. I need loyal people; that's how the company will stay strong. Rather than having disloyal investors I rather focus with the loyal ones. I value trust, and if you break that, you break everything. I don't tolerate that.

I'm done with office work; it's time that I visit the estate and find out what's going on. If I am able to deal with the tenants, it will give me enough time to sort out the issues with other business firms.

My phone vibrates in my pocket. I look at the screen, and Dut's name is displayed. They arrived home.

"Dut, how's grandma? Did she meet her friend?" I felt relieved.

"Well sir. " I had a bad feeling about this. Whenever Dut starts with Well, sir, somethings up.

"Dut! Answer my question: Where is grandma? Is she okay? Give the phone to grandma now. Dut!" I panicked.

"Please calm down, sir. Grandma is alright; she is here with me. We are in the living room." He says.

"Then what happened?" Something is wrong.

"Well sir," Am going to slap his face with all his well, sir.

"say it!" His getting on my nerves.

"Grandma was attacked." That was the last thing I heard before I ran out of the office. I need to reach home as soon as possible.

Grandma was attacked. I should have gone with her; it was all my fault. I should have insisted. Why did I not trust my instincts? I left my car at the gate and rushed inside the house.

"Grandma!, grandma!" I need to find her.

"I'm here, Joshua. Dut, why did you inform him when I strictly told you not to?" I heard her scolding Dut.

"Grandma, why would you say that? Was he supposed to tell me when you're in a critical condition or in the ICU in the hospital?" Why was she doing this?.

"I don't mean that, Joshua. I am okay, so there is no reason to worry that much." I don't believe her.

"Dut, who attacked them, and where are they now?" I looked at Dut.

"The three men are now in police custody, and I spoke with the family lawyer to ensure they pay heavily for this crime." He showed me his chat.

"This is not enough; I will personally give them a visit. They will pay for this. I won't accept this.
