SMG4: The Power Crystal (Episode)

Chapter III - The Discovery of the Sacred Power Crystal

As the gang ran inside of the monstrous cave, they found themselves slowing down and looking around the place in awe. Even SMG4 couldn't help but appreciate how beautiful it looked from the inside.
As they dived deeper into the cavern, they suddenly found themselves coming to a dead end. In front of them, they could distinguish Mario from his bright red shirt and blue overalls.
"MARIO!" Running towards the fat Italian, SMG4 scolded. "WHAT DID WE SAY ABOUT RUNNING OFF?!"
Meggy looked as if she were about to sucker-punch him, but she held it back with a snarl.
"SMG4! Look what Mario found!"
Raising an eyebrow, SMG4 glanced upwards to see what he was talking about.
His eyes stretched wide by what he saw.

It was the crystal. Displayed right in front of them.
It was levitating off of the ground slightly by a majestic and supernatural force that sent chills down SMG4's spine.
"Is that..." Meggy's voice sounded from behind.
"The Power Crystal."

The crystal had now caught everybody's attention.
Some people looked nervous, while others looked intrigued. SMG3 especially being one of them. His eyes glittered with interest and determination that promised misfortune.
"It's beautiful..." Meggy sounded guilty when she said that.
"How could something so majestic and beautiful be so dangerous...?" Tari's voice shook with unease.
Ignoring the conversations going on behind him, SMG4 slowly found himself approaching the crystal. When he extended his hand out to touch it, Meggy immediately bolted in front of him and slapped his hand away. "Dude! What do you think you're doing?!"
SMG4 shook his head, snapping out of his supposed trance. "Huh?"
"Remember what you said?!"
SMG4 held his hand in front of his chest. "I know, I'm sorry. I don't know what'd gotten into me. It just looks so beautiful..."
Meggy sighed. "I know..." She stared for a moment before shaking her head. "But we cannot touch it! It's too dangerous!"
Grabbing Mario by his overalls, Meggy dragged him away. "Come on Mario. Let's get out of here."
"But... but spaghetti..."
"Mario, theirs no spaghetti in here!" She snapped, whirling her gaze towards her idiot friend. "Now come on—"
"SPAGHETTI! COME TO PAPA!" Pulling himself out of Meggy's grasp, Mario bolted back towards the crystal.
"MARIO NO!"
Before anybody could stop him, Mario had jumped up into the air and pounced on top of the crystal, devouring the entire thing whole.
Everybody gasped in horror. "MARIO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"
"Yummy!"
"COME HERE YOU—"
Before Meggy could lay her hands on him, Mario had suddenly began to change form right in front of her eyes.
Everybody stared as Mario went through a transformation right before their eyes.
"Mario... what have you done..."
When Mario was done transforming, he stood as still as a statue for a moment.
"Wh-..."
"Why is he..."

He opened his eyes.

"MaRiO, wHaT hAvE yOu dOnE!! BlA bLa BLA! Look at me guys, I'm Meggy Spletzer!"

He transformed into Meggy!

Her worry subsiding, Meggy scowled and marched towards him. "I do NOT sound like that!"
"I'm Meggy Spletzer! I'm the Splatfest champion who shoots guns and then cries about how much my life sucks!!"
"STOP MIMICKING ME!"
"StOp MiMiCkiNg mE! ArhArHaR—"
"THAT IS IT!" Meggy instantly pounced on top of Mario and pulled him upwards to preform the heimlich manoeuvre. "SPIT IT OUT!" She paused. "..... ME!!"
"Never in my life would I have ever thought that I'd see Meggy giving Meggy the heimlich manoeuvre." SMG4 joked.
With a few more thrusts, the crystal went flying out of Mario's mouth and right into Saiko's hands. "Wha-"
Instantly, he returned to his normal self. "Aww..."
Saiko was about to throw it out of her hands, but suddenly a huge rain cloud had formed at the top of her head. "Woah..." Realizing what was going on, she exclaimed. "I have weather powers!"
"Give me that!" Meggy instantly ripped the crystal out of her hands and walked back towards the display. "This is too dangerous! We need to stop fiddling with this thing!"
"Wow Meggy... you're hot."
She froze. "Ex-CUSE ME?" Her eyes slowly darted towards Bob. Instantly, she slid in front of him, grabbing him by his cloak. "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!"
"No Meggy... he means that you're literally hot!"
"Huh?" Raising an eyebrow in confusion, Meggy realized that sparks of ash and bright flames were coming off of her.
In a panic, she caterwauled. "IM ON FIRE!"
"Quick Meggy! Stop, Drop and Roll!!" Boopkins yowled innocently.
Everybody stared down at him with annoyed expressions.
"...What?"
Shaking his head, SMG4 approached her. "No Meggy. You have fire powers!"
Meggy blinked. "I'm sorry wha?"
SMG4 smiled. "You have Pyrokinesis!"
Meggy raised an eyebrow. "I do?" She glanced down at the crystal, her reflection instantly shining back at her.
She smiled widely. "I DO!" Jumping around, Meggy ran to each of her friends individually. "YEAHH!! AHAHAHH!! YIPPEE!! I HAVE FIRE POWERS!! WOOHOO!!"
"Ooh ooh! I wanna see what I get! Please Meggy? Pretty please?" Boopkins was hopping up and down excitedly.
Meggy was a little reluctant at first, but she nodded and handed the crystal to her small friend. Instantly, her powers vanished.
When Boopkins took the crystal, he suddenly felt a strong wave of power course through his veins.
But he looked no different.
Disappointed, Boopkins sighed. "Awww man..."
"Hey, cheer up!" Luigi comforted. "Saiko's form didn't change when she got her power! Maybe your power doesn't involve a physical change! You just need to find it!"
Boopkin's eyes almost immediately lit up. "Really Luigi? You think so?"
Luigi nodded. "Mhm!"
Boopkins squealed happily and embraced Luigi in a hug. To both of their surprise though, the strength of the hug was overpowering.
"Ack! My spine!"
"Ahh! Sorry Luigi!!" Instantly, Boopkins released Luigi from his embrace. "I've must of gotten stronger the last time I hugged somebody."
"Boopkins! That's it! That's your power!" Meggy exclaimed.
Boopkins tipped his head. "Hugging?"
Meggy narrowed her eyes, but she was chuckling. "No! Super strength! You have super strength!"
Boopkin's expression brightened. "What?! Really?!" As a test, Boopkins attempted to lift Luigi off of the ground. Effortlessly, he successfully lifted Luigi off of the ground with one hand.
"IM STRONG!"
"Y-you're strong...!" Luigi echoed with a nervous stutter. "C-can you put me down now...?"
Boopkins blinked. "Oh, sorry Luigi!" When Boopkins gently placed Luigi back onto the ground, the crystal was suddenly snatched out of his hand.
"HEY!—"
"What's my power? Come on, give me the power to get all of the women!"
Meggy furrowed her eyebrows. "Bob, that isn't a power—"
