When KZ’s mother found out she was pregnant, she was only 882 years old. On Earth, where KZ lives, she would be 13. Time, in the Forest of Powers, goes backwards, and for a god or goddess, they can be granted immortality at birth, or they can choose to live a whole 9 centuries before they die. When Sarah turns 18, she will be old. Everyone in The Forest of Powers begins their life as if they were a century old. In her case, she chose to live 9 centuries, today. his mother was 18 at the time she gave birth to him. On Sarah’s Earth, her being pregnant at her age was illegal, so she had decided to keep her pregnancy from everyone.
Sarah decided that once she started to show, she would run away and hide in the cave of the Ancient Ones. The Ancient Ones are the elders on Sarah’s Earth. They are basically like a president or a king. When it came time for Sarah to give birth, she ran to the cave, and made a
deal with the Ancient Ones. KZ would be sent to a parallel Earth, and Sarah would die for her sins, but would be sent to guide and protect KZ until he turns 13. Then he will have to decide whether to become his father, the devil's apprentice, or to go back to his mother’s world and
become a god.
