I watch the world fall apart,
I watch it come undone,
I watch it age with eagerness
As I remain the same.

Consumed by guilt,
I wander earth
and wonder,
What will become of it?

Perhaps history will always
replicate itself until the end
of time,
a never ending cycle.

Perhaps I'm the damned observer,
witnessing without fail,
of how it brings ruin to itself,
over and over again.

It's a curse of repetition,
War and death, ravaged
by greed and lust,
the unrelenting need for power.

At the trial of gods,
where my end will take place,
I will ask:
Why did you allow all this?
