Branch had been away from his family for almost a year now. He had been gone since he, his brothers, and the billions of people who helped work for BroZone left off on a world tour and a few trips inbetween to spend some time alone together.

They weren't supposed to take this long, but business was going slow for them, Branch wrote, and they had to reschedule way more shows and do many more encores than they wanted to, causing them to be more exhausted and take longer on their inbetween trips for longer rests than they had planned.

It was all a cycle, Branch wrote to his daughter and wife. As soon as one thing happened out of the ordinary, things flew apart.

The letters from him used to come frequently. Branch was always on the move during the tour, but whenever they visited small towns, where while they were doing shows, Branch was able to slip a letter into the mailbox. He always kept their address under his pillow, he said.

Then...the letters just stopped.

It was so sudden.

Queen Poppy tried to plaster a smile on her face every day for her daughter Ivy, but Ivy was smart. She could see right past the smile and spy the sadness in her eyes.

"I'm sure we will be getting a letter from you dad any day now," Poppy sang encouragingly to Ivy, everyday after school. "I'm sure he just got a bit busy and forgot."

Poppy was disappointed every day, however, when nothing appeared in her mail pile from Branch.

Ivy talked to her friends Tiny and Amanda about this.

"I'm scared that she's going to become too sad," Ivy said. "I don't know what's wrong."

"Is she was about your dad not being back yet?" Amanda asked. "I mean, it has almost been a year."

"Aunt Poppy tells the village every day about how he's going to come back," Tiny argued.

"Yeah, Mom believes he will," Ivy said, sure. "Maybe she just needs his help."

"Or maybe she just really misses him," Amanda suggested. "I know I would if I was her."

Months passed. Poppy still heard nothing about her husband. No letters from him or anyone else who went with him.

Ivy came home from school expecting there not to be a letter from him. And she was always correct.

Poppy became more fidgety, worried, and gloomy. She was suddenly overprotective of Ivy, something Ivy didn't like, as she loved to go off and other own thing.

Ivy wondered what was wrong. Had she gotten a letter of some sort from anyone about them. She knew her mom had been spamming everyone and every tribe with letters asking, begging, them if they knew where her husband and his brothers were.

Their answer was always the same.

They had no idea.

Poppy and Viva sat down together one day, feeling exhausted from all the work and the heaviness of knowing their boys were lost somewhere.

"I don't know what to think," Viva sighed to herself. "I know Branch and Clay are fine. But I'm still so worried."

"Branch had always just-- been around, you know? " Poppy said gently to herself. "It's weird not to always have him right beside me all the time."
