Rosie(pov): today is graduation day and Im nervous as hell. I can't even think straight right now. after all the hard work we went through preparing for this day its finally here and now im scared. I don't want to graduate I don't want to have to leave all of my friends and whats suppose to happen with me and jacob? oh god I never even thought about these things until now. how could I be so blinded? after we graduate my life will be over and I will be forced to live a new one.
"alright every body places."
I just stood there not wanting to move.
"rosie, come on its time." Vicky said grabbing my hand so we can get into our places in line.
I stood there shaking. I didn't think this is how my graduation day would be im suppose to be happy iv waited for this day forever. I looked over and saw Jacob staring at me across the hall in the boys line. he looked so worried and concerned. "its okay." he mouthed to me. I just turned my head forward as the principal voice came blaring from the mic. "are you guys ready for class of 2013?!" he screamed and the whole room went crazy. the line ahead of me started moving forward into the Auditorium . I followed forward and stopped at the line to let everybody look at me then I walked through the middle as planned in rehearsal. since it was my turn to walk everybody eyes was planted on me which didn't do anything but make me even more nervous. "don't mess up , don't mess up." I said to my self. I walked up the stairs that lead to the back of the stage slowly careful not to trip in these heels. we all lined up again. the teacher went onto the stage to help with the diplomas Jacob got out of his spot and came in line behind me he grabbed onto my waist then brought his head close to my ear. "you look beautiful." he said with a smile. usually that would make all of my worries fly out the window but this time it didn't it only made me sadder because soon he won't be able to do that ever again. I tried to force a smile but it just wasn't working. the principal said some more stuff through the mic that I couldn't really hear next thing I now the kids start walking out one by one to get their diploma. when they called Victoria her family went mad ghetto and that caused me to laugh a little. when roc went out he shook the principal hand and grabbed his diploma then walked to the front of the stage and danced the whole auditorium busted out in laughter and the principal shook his head as he called the next name soon almost everybody had gotten their diploma then they called my name and I walked onto stage slowly and scared as can be I turned to look at the crowd as everybody cheered Sandra, mama Theresa and my mom and Anna were the loudest and it kinda made me happy to know that I had their support but no matter what happened nothing could make me happy at this point unless its Jacob saying hes going to the same collage as me. "that's my boo!" Jacob called out I smiled a little and shook my head as people started laughing. soon everybody had their diploma. and she was doing the closing speech. once she got finished the principal said "well, here you have it the class of 2013! " the whole room filled with applause as we took off our hats and threw them in the air. the principal said don't do that this time but of course we didn't listen. my mom and Anna came up to me.
Mom: you did sweetheart , im so proud of you.
Anna: yea, I gotta give you props I didn't think you had it in you.
I nudged anna playfully then hugged them.
Mom; do you want to ride home with us?
Rosie: nah ima get a ride with Jacob.
Mom: okay well here.
mom handed me the balloons and a card I opened it and saw a bunch of hundreds.
I opened my mouth in shock then looked at my mom.
Mom: that's what iv been working real late for. have fun sweetheart and enjoy your day.
