Zyran's POV:

"What have you guys done?" I hiss through gritted teeth. My patience is on the brinks of collapsing and my parents know exactly what happens once it finally does as they both go quiet temporarily.

"Zyran,She is a beautiful girl and you are fit for marriage now. You obviously showed no interest in any other lady so we thought it was fit for you to-" My mother goes to explain to me but I cut her off. "I've been working myself to oblivion just to get this outcome, father?"

Baba looks at me as if sensing the formality in my words."It was your mother who was so eager to get you married, it was her decision." He says looking at my mother who looks back at him eyes slightly widening.

A bitter laugh escapes me."So that is what you're both gonna do? blame it on each other about how my life should be doomed?"

"Zyran." Mother warns."We told you to either bring a girl to us or marry Kaira, but you refused to do the latter so I was left with no choice then to do this."She speaks sternly and I don't see my mother in her, I see a woman who stands by her husband in every decision or more realistically father stands by her decisions while her other order of damnation is directed to none other then her own son whom she neglected half her life.

And suddenly that fuels my anger as I spit out the next words."I don't want to get into your pathetic excuse of a happy marriage life this early, mother." She flinches. "I am very capable to take my decisions on my own."

"You're still my son, Zyran. Don't forget that-" I cut her off yet again. "I didn't." I say raising my voice at my own mother for the first time. "It was you who left us both to fend for ourselves with the house help while you both so happily enjoyed your marriage life."

"Zyran." Father warns."Don't."

I look at him, like really look at him and I can't control the scoff that leaves my mouth upon seeing him defending her yet again in a decision which clearly should leave regret. "We weren't out to enjoy ourselves. We had work and you should by now understand this." Mother speaks.

"Yeah, Bullshit." I laugh." Work doesn't demand whole of your sons' childhood to be slain just because you refused to take responsibility, and now you expect me to be like you both."

"We don't." Father corrects. "Prove us wrong then, Spend a happy life with your wife and do it prove us wrong that you do never need a break from the chaos."

They have failed to get the point like always. The main door opens but no one glances that way as we are busy staring the life out of each other. " You told me to get in to the deal and waste my 6 months spending time with your business partners' daughter and I agreed." I seethe taking a step closer."Now don't expect me to follow through with this marriage crap you guys have set up with Khala. I am not marrying Kaira."
