Is this what absolute torture feels like?

My thoughts whirl around in the same circle they've been whirling around in for the past 4 days and trust me when I say this I am hanging on to my sanity from a thread and it certainly doesn't help when the cause of the chaos happening in my head is the same woman sitting beside me.

My knife cuts into the omelette a little harder, my fork stabs into the piece a bit louder and I suddenly know that I am going mad.

Mama is back as she with her Oh so beautifuk voice that I absolutely didn't miss the past days call me out,"Is something the matter, Zayn?"

Um no its just the fact that your son fucked up so badly his own blood brother won't talk to him, neither his wife and nor any of the girls and certainly not Mira.

The boys on the other hand did a great job at calling the shit out of me for my actions.

"No." is my curt reply.

Amaya bhabhi and Zyran are seated  on the opposite side of Me while mama sits accompanying Baba on the farther corner of the table.

It's been 3 days since the arrival of our mother and her reaction to Mira was the same like any other guest except when she found out she was Amaya's best friend. She had Zyran's protection-funny that term to be used in our own house but that is just how it is and unknowningly she had mine too.

Until she forgives me.

A face off mama had with Mira was all it took for her to clamp her mouth closed towards the latter and mind her own businesses-funfact? It went as far ahead as Mama quite literally said "I like her." her as in Mira Farjad.

Her son's longest enemy and also the one by whom he now seeks forgiveness for his own monstrous actions.

God knows why she's even staying here out of all places any longer.

"Won't you guys ask us about our trip?" When no one answers she pushes further. "Zyran? Zayn?"

"It was business as far as I heard." Zyran nonchalantly replies. Which causes mother to pass him a frown, a disappointing one.

"You can't be more rude to your mother can you? is this the reason why I birthed you? Brought you up? -"

"We all know the reality of it, Don't we mother?" Zyran cooly says maintaining his calm as Amaya bhabhi puts a hand on his arm in a comforting manner, when our eyes clash and she looks away with disgust, my heart cracks.
