The news from King Adam shocked Maisarah so bad that her calm from before shattered apart. Her hand dropped the spoon she was holding with a loud sound. The fried rice didn't seem as delicious now, the news kicking her right in the gut. Maisarah clenched her hands into fist. She didn't seem to understand why Tengku Qayyum still wanted to go through with this marriage.

"I don't want to."

"Like it or not, you must, Sarah. Let me remind you what you told us the other day. Tengku Qayyum had touched you," replied King Adam sternly. His voice booming through the dining hall. Maisarah cleched her jaw.

"That was just a tattle tale, father! I don't even love the Crown Prince!", she finally said the truth though it was a tad too late. She now, regretted having accused the innocent. The person who dug the hole had definitely fallen into it all on her own. Urgh!

King Adam's expression turned darker, colder than ice. His calm demeanour gone when Maisarah refused, again. Huh! Whether she likes it or not, Maisarah has to marry with Tengku Qayyum so she will become the next Queen. It wasn't easy to get accepted into King Hakam's royal family. So, you could see how happy King Adam was when Maisarah was chosen.

The accusation Maisarah made had definitely layed out the carpet for this very moment. Even so, King Adam couldn't wait to be Family In-Laws to another great ruler. Such a chance, you'll only get once in a lifetime!

"Huh! After that stunt you pulled, you think you can get away just like that? I don't care. The Crown Prince will marry you. And you!" he pointed a finger at Maisarah making her startled. "You will be the Queen of Vhagar! Don't you dare go against me."

Maisarah's eyebrows were knitted together. She couldn't accept that the only thing King Adam wanted from this was not her happiness but the fact that he was desperate to want Tengku Qayyum as his son in-law. What's that good about the Crown Prince? He was kind, most people were kind. Hargh! Maisarah felt like screaming at the top of her lung, letting everything in her heart out.

Serves her right! Accusing people however she wanted without thinking it through. Now she has to face the consequences. She wanted to take it back, but it was too late now. Everything was wrong.

Maisarah slammed her hands on the table in anger. Her eyes meeting her father's intense ones. Maisarah was not one to be scared by her father's wrath. She was so used to having him shout at her or receiving commands from King Adam. Everything's been done and spoke.

In her world, there was no one who wanted to stand by her side as her partner. Everyone left before she could even give a piece of her heart that's hungry for love. Sometimes, she felt like a caged bird. That is what made her character so arrogant and insolent than most.

Riling up her emotions was a bad idea.

"Okey. If that's what you want, I'll do it but I refuse to fall in love with him. Oh and when I'm Queen later, don't come find me as my parents. When the time comes, I no longer recognize King Adam and Queen Ummu," said Maisarah loud and clear. Her eyes held such confidence making the sinister smile she had even more arrogant. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear as she stood up from her chair.

King Adam and Queen Ummu was filled with so much like they would explode any second now. How dare Maisarah utter those uneducated ideas to them like that?! It feels like...they wanted to teach her a lesson so Maisarah will always obey them. An unfilial daughter like Maisarah must be taught properly.

"Oh, and one more!" Maisarah placed both hands on the table, bending over slightly making her back arch, her butt sticking out. She wanted to drill it into those thick skulls of her parents. Maisarah wondered why her parents had to be King Adam and Queen Ummu.
