Back inside of the colony bunker, Uzi hid behind Thad most of the way to the gym. She had been on edge ever since she returned "home" for the first time in what felt like forever.
'Oh Robo god, what if dad sees me?' Uzi thought.
Would he scream? Would he faint? Would he attack? Would he call her a monster?!
All these questions haunted Uzi and made every step she took to the gym a nightmare. Even if she kept her murder drone parts hidden, she was still clearly put together using J's parts.
'Don't let dad see your legs, just don't let him see your legs.' Uzi thought, thankful that the dress covered at least that much.
Before Uzi knows it, she froze when they made it to the gym doors and hearing the dance music on the other side.
"We have reached party central. You guys ready to head in?" Thad asked them.
"Ready as ever!" N said, excited.
"Dead serious." V said with a grin before looking at Uzi. "What about you, sis?"
All V got was Uzi being as silent as the vacuum of space.
"Nervous, Uzi?" Thad asked, turning to her.
"...No." Uzi said but that was a blatant lie.
"She's getting good at lying... but not good enough." V said, shaking her head.
"Shut. Up." Uzi said to her.
"It's alright if you're nervous. Everyone gets nervous with dances." Thad said.
"Not when you're an antisocial loner who "died" and got revived as a murder drone." Uzi said bluntly.
"... Well... maybe not like THAT but still." Thad said.
"BUT if you need one of us to get you out of a jam, we'll be there for you." N said, putting his hand in Uzi's shoulder. "Take it from your "big brother" N."
"Oh don't you start that, too!" Uzi said to him, whining a bit.
"Too late, we're a family." V said, smiling softly. "You can't get rid of us if you tried. No matter what anyone says or what happens."
Uzi groaned from that "feelings mush" but still smiled from it, feeling less nervous now with her "siblings" behind her
"How about I head in and take everyone's attention with my dance moves? That way, you guys can slip in without much worry." Thad suggested.
"Sure. Thanks." Uzi said, nodding to him.
Thad nodded back as he turned back to the door and straightened his suit, walking forward with as much swagger as he could muster before pushing them open.
"What's up, party people?!" He shouted, getting cheers from everyone that saw him.
Uzi didn't know how he could do that. Just act like everything is okay.
She didn't know how any of the worker drones could act like this life in the bunker was okay. They had an entire planet to call their own but they were just...trapped like rats and accepted it.
She thought about it and thought that maybe she can change that.
It's the whole reason she made the railgun...and you can see how that turned out.
"Ready to go in, Uzi?" N asked her.
"Huh? What?" Uzi said before groaning. "Oh god, did I space out again?"
"Yep!" V said with a pop at the end.
"Fuck...I think something is wrong with my head." Uzi said, rubbing her head.
