Wonder Woman: The Birth of the TruthQueen (Part 1)

The contest

The colosseum is now full of Amazons spectating the event. Hippolyta announces to the crowd

Hippolyta "Sisters! It has been years since we had these contests. From using this colosseum blessed by Hera for training, we now use it for our destiny. The current champion is Artemis but if anyone bests her in the challenge, they shall be the one to defeat Ares and restore peace on the outside world"

At the same time Diana is locked in her guarded room. She hatches a plan to escape

Diana: "Sister, please fetch me some water"

As soon as the door opens, Diana subdues the guards painlessly and runs off

Diana: "Sorry my sisters"

She then looks out the window to see guards patrolling the palace and city. She evades them, jumps on buildings miraculously and makes her way into the contest. She puts on a helmet to disguise herself and enters the colosseum last minute

The contest involves an obstacle course, archery, gladiator battles, feats of strength and wisdom. Diana successfully clears the whole contest and impresses the audience whilst Hippolyta keeps a stern eye on her. Diana and a few others have reached the final and shall battle Artemis in a duel. Artemis injures and defeats the others but Diana stays standing. After a duel, Diana bests Artemis and makes her submit. She won the contest and is met with cheers

Hippolyta: "Come forth Amazon"

Diana then steps forward

Hippolyta: "Remove your disguise, my daughter"

Diana is shocked but slowly takes off her helmet. Artemis and the other Amazons gasp

Hippolyta smiles "I've raised you for many years my love. Do you not think I know how my daughter moves. Besides, you forgot to tuck your hair in"

Diana blushes 

Hippolyta "I knew at heart that you were the true champion but I wanted to see your motivation.  You willing to venture out of Paradise Island to save humanity is exactly what your destiny is

Hippolyta takes her tiara of and puts it on Diana. She also unwraps a cloth that covers her warrior costume + bracelets and hands it to Diana. She also gives Diana her lasso

Diana then goes to change into her outfit and looks in the mirror. 

Hippolyta "It's like looking back in the past"

Diana and Hippolyta have a cute moment together, Kasia then peeps through the door and Hippolyta leaves them too it

Kasia "Well this seems like goodbye"

Diana "No Kasia wait..."

Kasia "I knew this day would come. For you to fulfil your destiny. One that does not include me. I understand my love"

Diana hesitates 

Kasia "This is where we need to end our relationship. Our love will never be lost but for you to be who you are, you need to be free of me. Rebecca seems like a good woman, I am sure she will keep you in good company. Maybe once your duties are over, we can reconcile but for now, I shall pray for you here"

Diana tries to talk but Kasia kisses her on the lips

Diana walks out and is greeted by a team of Amazons including Hippolyta and Artemis.

Hippolyta "Be safe my daughter, may Gaia guide you. Bring glory to Themyscira. Liberate the people of Ares' wrath"

Diana and Hippolyta hug

Artemis whispers to Hippolyta "She reminds me of you back then"

Hippolyta smiles and walks to a boat

Hippolyta "This boat shall be the bridge between our world and theirs. Only you and people can choose will be able to use it. Where shall we set the eyes of the boat to?"

Rebecca: "Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America"

Hippolyta tries to pronounce it but struggles at first. But she takes Rebecca's hand and places it on the boat front

Hippolyta "Once you defeat Ares and return our guest home, use this boat to travel back and I shall store it"

Diana and Rebecca look at one another but they are moved to the boat. They board it and it leaves to their destination. Hippolyta watches on
