Ares is defeated on the ground and the wounded Diana weakly stands, attempting to stand firm.
Ares "So what now? You will kill me? Or do you not have the stomach to?"
Hippolyta looks at Diana as to what she chooses. Diana looks down at the spear but then to her lasso
Diana "You do not deserve a warrior's death Ares, because you are no warrior"
Ares is confused
Diana then wraps the lasso around him and pulls it tightly
Diana "YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A MONSTER! AN INSULT TO THE GODS OF OLYMPUS! A CURSE TO HUMANITY! You may not see it, so let the lasso show you the true demon you are"
The lasso burns Ares and he is traumatized by the horrors. The screams of innocents amplify in his eardrums, the sounds of crying too. The depression of others gets to him as does the horror of war"
Diana "This is what you are, this is what I am not. The consequences of your actions will haunt you. This is true justice"
Diana looks up at the sky
Diana "Hera, Athena, Aphrodite. You blessed me to protect the world when you cannot interfere so here is your prisoner. You have failed humanity by letting him go! I demand you give him proper punishment! Show yourselves!"
A bright light is seen and Hippolyta recognizes them.
Ares "No! No!"
Ares then takes the spear and stabs his neck, killing himself. The light goes away and instead shines on Diana. She feels a surge of strength and stands more firm. Ares' body decays and sinks down below, as does the undead army. Diana is then met with the Amazons cheering and Hippolyta runs down to her. She looks at her daughter and hugs her
Hippolyta "You fought like a true Amazon my beloved"
Diana then hugs Rebecca and touches her face to remove a wound from her, she looks at Mala who nods back and smiles. Artemis then continues the cheers. As well as that, the remaining humans also cheer and a pristine helicopter lands. 2 men in suits who are guarded by military men approach
Man: "Wonder Woman, I, the mayor of Boston thank you and your people for your bravery"
Diana nods and turns to the other man
Man 2: "Same feeling here, as the President of the United States, I speak for the entire world when we say we are indebted to your selfless, courageous actions to liberate us from this century long hardship"
Diana turns to her mother and smiles. They then walk to the docks and an armada of Amazonian boats are there
Hippolyta "I knew someday these boats will come into use, say your farewell to Rebecca before we leave"
Diana disagrees "No mother, I choose to stay! The people here need a hero. I shall be that. That is my destiny"
Hippolyta then bows her head down "I'm sorry Diana, but I cannot have my daughter live outside the walls of Themyscira. You are coming with me, final decision. We have done our duties in this world, now we leave them and resume ours"
Diana then tears up but Rebecca taps her shoulder
Rebecca "I knew this was coming. It's okay"
Rebecca wipes the tears of Diana
Rebecca "You gave us hope, we shall not let that go in vain. I promise, whilst you may not walk with us anymore, the spirit of Wonder Woman will live on"
Diana then smiles
Diana "Well Rebecca, I guess this is goodbye. I thank you for being my guide, my eyes and my friend. Give my gratitude to Julia, Nessie, Etta, Steve and Minerva. Do not let Tom overrule you. We need more people like you"
Diana then whispers into Rebecca's ear
Diana "Remember when I promised to change my mother's mind. I intend to keep it, please hold faith for me to return"
Diana then hugs Rebecca and kisses her on the cheek. Hippolyta takes this in and smiles. They depart
