He had no idea how much time had passed since he had woken up in a dark room with his unfortunate partner who found themselves in the same predicament, but he gathered it wasn’t too long as he feared for the others' lives. Especially since the room he was in had four walls and one door which was guarded by the Manticore which lay in a threatening pose even in its sleep.

“Ah, would you look at that. It would seem my guests are almost awake, considering it has been an entire 12 hours. I would think ninja’s were more efficient” the goddess’ intoned voice had Donatello blinking awake. “Welcome Donatello, remember me?” Her words felt familiar but Donatello was a little confused as he shared a look with the metal man beside him. It took him a minute to realise it was the shredder.

The goddess only grinned, “Well since you are a bit confused, let me remind both you and Oroku Saki who I am and then we can dive into the questions….” she finished with a wicked laugh before all three of them witnessed pure whiteness in their visions transporting them elsewhere in their minds.

Meanwhile…

“Excuse me, he’s what?” Bebop called out, he was trying to wrap his head around what had just been shared.

“Like I said earlier on, the shredder is missing. His tracker has gone offline and there has been no sightings of him” Karai rolled her eyes listening to April explain again to the pig and rhino, both of them glaring at each other especially when Casey took the absolute mickey out of them.

“So, what’s the plan, Sensei?” Mikey turned to Splinter who remained sitting on the sofa beside Leonardo who had his full attention on Raph, the hothead was leaning against the leader in blue’s side and snoozing.

“We must continue to search for both Donatello and Oroku Saki, otherwise I fear we will lose the war before the battle” his words had many of them nodding, while others just looked confused.

“Wait, can we work out why they wanted them?” Karai turned to April who sighed.

“It could be an old rivalry, the shredder did seem like he was more fearful of the enemy than any before” Leonardo spoke up, his words calm and collected. Raph shifted beside him but didn’t say anything.

“True, Tigerclaw, have you ever heard of this goddess?” Karai’s question was lost to one turtle’s ears as Raphael found himself transported elsewhere, his mind connecting with those of the past and his captive twin.

An Old Memory….

Oroku Saki was a strong minded man who had a goal in life and that was to be better than his best-friend but it was also to prove to his parents that he could carry the secrets of his family on without failure. Of course he was always good at keeping secrets especially when he married the love of his life, someone who was named after a flower. Her last name was kept a secret but she went by Flora, she had the most curliest brown auburn hair and soft blue eyes like an ocean. She was as beautiful as her name and had the most welcoming appearance. At first Oroku Saki’s parent’s didn’t exactly like her because she was a traveller, one who had grown in their culture but after she shared her medicines with the family and it began to cure their illnesses. She became known as the village healer, even rivalling Tang Shen who was slightly jealous but became very good friends with Flora. Both females were admired especially when it got to the dating range. They were honoured for their beauty and kindness. A few around the village were jealous and prayed to the gods that they’d hear their cries of help especially when others looked the other way.

Hearing these prayers, Oroku Saki was always on guard especially when Flora Saki was almost assassinated in her own home. For what? For beauty? No, it soon became a huge problem to the point that Flora Saki explained to her husband her past which he was in shock but promised to never leave her and protect her for the rest of his life. This protection only got stronger especially when Flora found out she was pregnant with not only one child but two and the healers became very concerned for her health which deteriorated especially when the twins grew stronger.
