XLIV

The birds chirped in the windows, sun rays peeking through the grey curtains and falling into the dark wallpapered room. The Trueblood shuffled beneath the sheet, he failed to move as he felt a weight on his arm, and his eyes fluttered open to meet with his omega's heavenly sleeping face.

His lips curved into a gentle smile as he softly ogled at Taehyung sleeping in his biceps, holding the bedsheet to his chest, perfectly cocooned into his embrace.

He took a moment to savour the serene sight before him. The soft rise and fall of Taehyung's chest, the way his lashes cast gentle shadows on his cheeks, and the peaceful expression made Jungkook's heart swell with affection.

The alpha inhaled the fresh berries scent of body wash, provoking him to eat the younger. He reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair from Taehyung's forehead, his touch featherlight. Jungkook would even make the sun rise earlier to see this divine view, it's worth more than anything in this whole world. 

Jungkook's mind drifted to yesterday's night, they both talked and laughed, basked in each other's embrace. He marvelled at how the omega he hated had now become his everything, the missing piece that completed him. Now, it is too hard for the Trueblood to even think of a second without Taehyung beside him. 

"How did I even get this lucky to have you? hm," Jungkook whispered, his eyes raking over every detail of Taehyung's face. "I must have saved the whole world." he lowly chuckled. 

Taehyung stirred, a soft murmur escaping his lips as he began to wake. His eyes fluttered open, meeting Jungkook's with a sleepy gaze. "Koo?" His brows creased in confusion, his eyes intaking the details of the room which was completely different from his. He was supposed to be in his room but where is he?

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Jungkook said softly, brushing his thumb over Taehyung's cheek.

The omega recollected last night's events, his eyes dilated in shock. He was in the alpha's room. Taehyung tried to get up but he landed on the Trueblood's chest when the other pulled him. 

"Where are you running away, cub?" Jungkook asked, his voice teasing and gentle.

Taehyung's cheeks flushed as he looked up at Jungkook. "I...I just realized where I am," he stammered, biting his lips. 

The Trueblood chuckled, eyes sparkling with amusement. "You fell asleep here, cub and I couldn't bring myself to let you go." He murmured, tightening his embrace around Taehyung. 

The omega smiled softly, hands on his alpha's chest. "I remember," he said." I guess, I was just surprised." 

Jungkook smiled, running his fingers through Taehyung's hair. "Well, get used to it. I plan on having you here every morning," he said, his tone serious yet filled with affection. "I don't want to miss the beautiful view of you waking in my arms." his eyes dripping with warmth and love for the younger.

Taehyung's heart swelled at Jungkook's words. "I think I can get used to it," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. The younger bit his lips not to break into a huge grin, he loved waking up in the alpha's embrace, feeling protected and warm, inhaling the woody scent of the alpha. 

The Trueblood gently pulled away Taehyung's lips from his teeth, his eyes gawking at the soft yet kissable lips of his omega. "It's not for you to abuse, baby." Jungkook's fingers caressed the pink skin. "That is mine to devour."He added,  his husky voice gave tingles to the omega. 

Jungkook leaned in closer, his lips hovering just a breath away from Taehyung's. "Let me show you," he murmured before closing the distance between them. The kiss started slow and gentle, Jungkook's lips brushing gently over Taehyung's, savouring the juicy lips. The alpha sucked on the soft skin, Taehyung's eyes shut, his body melting into the alpha's embrace.
