Reese has finally fallen asleep in her own cell, far from Hershel's. I don't know how to feel about her. I don't know about a lot of things in reality, I'm a child. Children don't know everything like adults do.

The silence is so loud it's awful to watch everyone so melancholy in the same room. Sad. I was sat against the wall, at the end of Hershel's bed. August was leaning against the wall and a little against my shoulder, but not enough to where his whole weight was on my shoulder.

I was about to fall asleep as well, due to the aura of the room and the fact I didn't have anything to do. But the familiar sound of the creaky metal door rung in my ears as I got to my knees, then to my feet and peeked out of the doorway. It was just Carl.

"I thought you were organizing the food?" Glenn asked.

"Even better." Carl smiled a little, walking into the small cell.

Everyone's heads turned to Carl, he held a big duffle bag, and it seemed to be filled with stuff.

"Check it out." He mumbled, plopping the bag down.

Inside was the medical supplies we so desperately needed. A small sigh of relief left my lips as Carol signaled at me to kneel next to her and help with Hershel's wounds.

"Where did you get this?" Lori asked.

"Found the infirmary. Wasn't much left but I cleared it out."

I grabbed some gauze, pressing the white stuff to Hershel's wounded leg, letting it soak up all the blood. My hands were gentle yet firm as Carol Lori and Maggie helped me out as well.

I was still majorly pissed at Maggie. Like really mad. She was a complete jerk to someone I knew. I may not've liked the Reese, but that doesn't give Maggie any more right to ridicule and insult her like that for no apparent reason.

"You went by yourself?"

"Yeah?"

I turned my head in his direction. He wasn't serious- right? There had to have been someone with him. August? Maybe August helped him when he left for go help Reese? Or maybe Carl was serious. But he's smart enough to know what's not okay.

"Are you crazy?"

"No big deal, I killed two walkers."

"Alright- do you see this? This was with the whole group. You should've steady asked Genesis or August to go with you. You would've had some protection."

Lori waved her hands over Hershel's body, showing Carl. I was dumbfounded by his stupidity. Isn't it ironic how some of the people you're forced to be closest with still surprise you?

"We needed supplies so I got that."

It was clear in Carls tone he was getting ticked  off. I huffed out a sigh as my bloodied fingers grasped the gauze I was holding.

"I appreciate that but-"

"Then get off my back!" Carl interrupted.

His shouts made me jerk my head back a little, my eyes widening at his sudden outburst. I turned to face him from where I was kneeling. Lori looked like she was ready to give Carl a hell of a pep talk.

"Carl, she's your mother you can't talk to her like that." Beth told him.

My lips pursed to my left as I reminded myself that it was impolite to stare at someone who's just been embarrassed as well as yelled at their own mother. I turned my head back to Hershel. Carls breath was slow as he exhaled, silenced.

"Listen I think it's great that you wanna help-"

Carl ran out of the room as soon as Lori began to talk. August tried to grab him, but Carl was quick. August looked to me and the rest of the group as he solemnly began to follow Carl.
