Lavina's POV:

I picked the apple from the table as I saw Aiken walk in through the main door. This boy!

Mom will be upset seeing how her little one is acting all spoiled since she is not here. Yea... he is indeed 24 and does what he wants all the time.

Maybe mom doesn't stop him like she used to when he was 17, but I am his sister, and that rules don't apply to me.

I threw the apple at him, hitting his face. He looks at me as he cursed, "Who the f!!"

But as he saw me, his face showed surprised, I am here without informing them about returning. I wanted an urgent vacation...

that's so with space.

If I let Dad or Mom know about this, they would have dropped everything to be near me. I love to be around my parents, but as an adult,.... something enjoying alone is fun, too.

Aiken walked to be embracing me, and he said, "Annoying sister is back..... my life is getting harder day by day... but let's pretend to be happy..." He said all dramatic.

I hugged him as I placed a strong slap on his back. I said, "Remember I am older... I can always overpower your little ego... and mouth with a punch...."

He parted, saying, "I don't fight with you physically because you are my elder sister.... Or Lavina I am not scared of you..."

I smirked, picking another fruit, I taunted, "But you surely are scared of Ares.... You know you will get kicked if you even scratch me..."

Aiken laughed, he said, "You still fail to notice the loving brother in me.... I am not scared, but I care for You and Ares bro too..."

I chuckled, taunting, "Says who.... the one who always stole our cookies... when you had plenty...."

Aiken sat on the table laughing. I really miss the little him, we both are of practically same age... Just I am 6 months older than him....

I know the age gap is a little too narrow between we siblings.... because I was adopted. But when I look at them, I never felt that way, but the outside world always made me remember that fact about myself.

Aiken said, pulling me out of my thoughts, "I miss those golden days.... did I become overdramatic now!!" He laughed.

I asked, "Where is Ares?... I haven't seen him..."

Aiken shrugged his shoulder as he said, "No idea.... He just walked away one day, and he just texted me if he needed to inform me of something.... that too stopped 2 days ago...."

I furrowed, thinking of which I haven't talked with him in a week or so.

I asked, moving my hand through my hairs, "Walked away?...."

Aiken looked around and then whispered, "I think Dad and Ares got into an argument.... he left.... that's all I know... But don't tell Mom about this..."

A wave of worry crossed over my head, I said, "What!!...Where is he!!!"

Aiken pressed his hand on my mouth, silencing me, He said, "There are other people around here.... you know when it's a secret... it's a secret...."

I sat near him on the table. It's weird. We who siblings are sitting on the dining table gossiping, Thank god! No one is around.

I asked, "So... Mom doesn't know.... Aren't you worried about Ares?... You could have told me earlier..."

He sighed, he said, "I am... But what are you going to do about it.... Anyways it's not like Ares can't take care of himself...."

I screamed in whispers, "What the f*ck!.... Our brother felt house, and you are chilling..... I will talk with Dad... He has some explaining to do..."
