The next day Felix luckily didn't have a morning shift so he got to sleep in and chill for a few hours before he got dressed and drove into town.
When he stepped foot into the café he was pleased to see that there weren't a lot of people, just a few collage looking kids doing their homework and a cute old couple sharing a milkshake making Felix smile.
Looking away from the customers he quickly went to the back to see who was working today, hoping that Chan was here, and he was just in luck because when he opened the doors to go to the kitchen, there was Chan and Peter laughing while baking what looked to be cinnamon rolls.
"Good afternoon Felix!" Chan called out when he noticed Felix putting his belongings away and grabbing his apron. Felix smiled before walking over to the males before sitting on a stool beside Peter.
"Good afternoon! How was the morning bunch?"
"It was good, nothing to crazy. Granny Park came in for her usual hot chocolate and complained when I said you weren't here yet," Peter said making Felix laugh.
Granny Park was a sweet old lady in her 60's that came by every morning to get hot chocolate, but she had taken a particular liking to Felix when she met him so she would always ask for him just to see him and be able to pinch his cheeks.
Right when Felix was gonna respond, they heard the bell at the front desk being rung meaning there was a customer waiting for them, so Felix jumped off the stool and headed back out to the counter to see a middle aged man there who seemed to be in a bad mood making Felix sigh before preparing himself for all the rude comments he was about to get.
He didn't know why it was always him getting the rude customers, but it was almost his charm.
"Hello sir, what can I get you?" Felix asked, making the man look up from his phone just to stare at him intently, unnerving Felix a little.
"I want my usual," The man said, before looking back down at his phone, only making Felix furrow his eyebrows.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know your usual, so I'm gonna need you to tell me what it is," Felix said softly, trying not to get upset himself.
"Isn't everyone suppose to know people's usual if they come in once a week?! Or is it just you cause you clearly don't know how to do your job?" The man bluntly stated, making Felix frown because there was no way in hell he was gonna help this man.
"I don't appreciate how you're talking to me right now, and no one else here is gonna want to help you, so I suggest you leave," Felix gritted out making the customer flip him off before spewing curse after curse to Felix before finally leaving.
Felix huffed, now in a little bit of a pissy mood before looking back up at the next customer in line making him freeze. The man was drop dead gorgeous.
He had light orange hair, piercings adorned all up and down his ears, and he was in a tight all black outfit. Felix didn't think he had ever seen someone so attractive, but he got pulled out of his thoughts when he heard the man clear his throat.
"Staring's rude," The man said in a flat tone, not even looking up from his phone making Felix frown just a little before pulling himself together.
"I'm sorry, what can I get for you?" Felix watched as the man in front of him finally looked up making their eyes lock and Felix cursed in his mind because how could somebody's eyes be so perfect? He quickly looked down at the computer getting ready to take the order but froze when the man spoke.
"I want a Robusta coffee with one scoop sugar. You do know how to make that right?" That made Felix look up from the computer to see the man with a blank expression on his face.
"Excuse me?"
"Well I heard the man in front of me saying you didn't know what you were doing at your job and I'd take his word for it. As you know, the customers always right. You even kicked him out for it, so it doesn't look to great on your part," The man spoke with what sounded like amusement in his voice making Felix a little offended.
"Sir, that man was being disrespectful so I told him to leave, and quite frankly you don't sound much better, so if you're gonna be a dick, you can leave as well," Felix said, quiet upset now, only making the man in front of him pull up a smug little smirk, looking quite happy that he was getting Felix riled up.
"Is this how you speak to all your customers? From what I can tell, it's definitely against the rules to call someone a dick,"
"It's not against the rules when someone IS acting like a dick, which you are right now. It really is asshole day, isn't it?" Felix's said, his face pinched together in annoyance, and he only got more annoyed when the man in front of him just raised his eyebrows while his smirk got a littler bigger.
Before either one of them could speak again though, Chan suddenly appeared right beside Felix.
"I'm sorry about this Felix, this is my friend and he can be a bit of an pain sometimes,"
"You don't say," Felix muttered making Chan's friend direct a glare towards him, effectively making Felix shut up.
"I'm sorry Felix, I'll talk to him. I'll make his order in a minute too so you don't have to. Minho, over here, now!" Chan said, before walking over to the door that separated the back and front.
Minho, as Chan had called him, looked back over at Felix, leaning a little forward so he was closer to the said male who tensed a little before Minho spoke.
"You know, I'm trying to see things from your perspective here, but I just can't get my head that far up my ass," Minho whispered before pulling away with a smirk still on his face before walking over to Chan.
Felix stood there for a minute, not sure what to do. How could someone like that be friends with someone as sweet as Chan? That thought made Felix look over to the pair who seemed to be having a little bit of a heated conversation before he looked away, wanting to give them some privacy.
As much as he didn't want to, Felix turned around to start making the assholes coffee order, feeling a little bad for Chan since it was only his second day.
Felix's nose scrunched up when he was finished with the beverage, the smell already bitter, and he couldn't image what person in their right mind would drink something like this. Then again, Minho didn't seem in his right mind so it fit.
Walking over to the counter, it looked like Minho and Chan just finished talking, before Chan headed to the back and Minho looked over to the counter where Felix was, the blank expression back on his face.
"Here's your coffee dick. It's bitter, just like you," Felix voiced out with a small fake smile, expecting some sort of reaction to come onto the others face but nothing did. He just reached over and took the coffee before giving Felix a distasteful glare and leaving.
Felix sighed, before walking back over to the counter to help the next customers. But even while he was working his attention seemed to be somewhere else.
Even though Minho was good looking, how could someone be so rude just for fun. Felix didn't understand, but he decided not to dwell on it any longer, shifting his focus to help the remaining customers.
